Fuel - Show expected laps with decimals (2.3 laps)

Currently fuel levels are displayed as exact laps, I would like this to change so it shows the amount of laps with one decimal.

When setting the fuel load in the Fuel and Tires menu, in some scenarios there can be 4 clicks of ‘6 laps’. It seems these go from 5.5 to 6.4 laps worth of fuel. If you’ve selected the most left point showing 6 laps, you will run out of fuel just before the end of the race, so the 6 laps is a bad indicator.
During the race it’s clear that the same happens with the fuel level shown on the HUD. While the HUD has been showing ‘3 laps’ for almost half a lap, the “Fuel - 3 laps remaining” message only shows up after that half lap. The value will also remain at 3 laps until a much later point, not going down to 2 laps as the level is now below 3 laps.

This suggestion goes for both the Fuel and Tires menu and the HUD during the race. It will improve the ability to set fuel levels and help predict when to pit.

When refueling during a pit stop, the expected laps are shown with one decimal. Why is it only in there and not everywhere?

Easily doable with UDP but would be nice in-game.

Fun fact, the “1 lap remaining” warning usually comes up with 1.2 laps remaining.

I tried out UDP with Sim Dashboard the other day, and it’s really impressive how many features it unlocks. Sadly it also shows how far behind FM is.
My overall experience wasn’t that good though as you need a stable internet connection, so sometimes the Dashboard App just lagged or stopped for a few seconds. We need more HUD features In-Game.

I use SimHub, and specifically a dashboard I built myself (which is displayed on a DDU atop my wheelbase). There’s a small UDP community making dashes too: Team ForzaDash

Forza’s data is limited so I cant do some real fancy things, but I can get the essentials like my fuel and tyres, no problem.

I’ll definitely try that out next, thank you.

Fully agree. We also need the gap to driver to be displayed with 3 decimal places. I could gain half a tenth to the driver in front but because the game only display +2.3 I can’t see that I’ve actually gain half a tenth because it will only change if I gain in +0.1 of second.

This is a must-have feature: showing the expected laps with decimals (e.g., 2.3 laps) is essential for better race strategy and fuel management.

That would help a lot — especially if the fuel amount could automatically adjust based on the track’s requirements. Being able to customize the fuel options available during pit stops would be a huge improvement too. The time window is often too short to make the right choice, so having more control and smarter defaults would make a big difference.
