FTC C4PT41N SL0W's FH3 gallery

This is my first gallery since Forza 4 or Horizon 1. I wouldn’t expect anything too fancy or artsy as I tend to shoot how I do in real life which is a little more journalistic, like event coverage and all that good stuff. That’s not to say I don’t attempt artsy and creative stuff, I’m just not good at it, at least not on the game.

These first posts are just a few pics I’ve shot in the past few days, mainly action but some may be shots of cars I’m working on but I may save those for last if I decide to post them.

A couple of really nice shots in there, especially the first Lambo! Nice to see you back, I remember you from FM4!

Really nice job on the gallery and this one is my fav^^^^^^

So I went a bit crazy with the 2003 Fairlady Z last night so here’s some night time and sunrise shots I took, plus a few extra shots in the show room, race and dirt road fun. Also adding one of each of the Horizon Edition BRZ and a Rolls Royce Wraith at the end.

The lighting in this:

and the Rolls Royce shot is very nice. Try experimenting with aperture!

Thanks. And I’ve tried using aperture before but it just makes everything in the shot look like it’s in a blender and I can’t figure out how to fix that.

Some Camaro SS and Opel GT shots… some hoonage included

Like that one! With the aperture, don’t add too much of it. I’d say about 20 is a good starting point and then press X to focus on your subject.

Alright, thanks. I’ll try that on some of my upcoming shots.

Today I only have a few random shots for you guys. Included are the Ferrari California T, Maserati Ghibli and Jaguar Project 7

Any comments are appreciated, whether it’s constructive criticism, criticism, complaints, whatever… it all helps.

A few more shots of cars I’ll be definitely working with later (M4 and Genesis Coupe) and a few other randoms

Side note: There’s a duplicate M4 pic but one is my first attempt at using aperture so let me know if it works or if I need to ditch it

The picture with the TT is tremendously good!!! It’s so real!!!

These are my favorite!!

You managed some nice realistic settings on the last shot of the blue R8, nice job!

Thanks Mario and Robot, I appreciate it

I’m gonna have a few more ready tomorrow or Friday

A few random shots I’ve taken recently. I was going to do a set of 1 or 2 cars but changed my mind on what I wanted to do so I’m still working on those.

Beautiful shot. Great use of aperture

While I’m working on something potentially semi creative I have a few shots to share from that stemmed from an idea I had while looking through online classifieds at same of my favorite older cars. One of these of cars, as well as a handful or two of others, happen to be in the game but this one tends to be fairly reasonably priced in very well used condition. Taking this thought, combined with the fact I got this particular car for dirt cheap in the auction house also helped with the idea.

So here it is, the 1980 Fiat 124 Spider private seller special. Inspired by a few California classifieds I have seen regarding this car, and some Alfa Spiders too, with the mismatched hood with faded painted and covered in dust and whatever else you can think of and some work done here and there.

This one I tried to make look as 80’s/Polaroid-ish as possible but I think I missed the mark a bit

Ok, so enough with the filler and time for that change up I was talking about.

As much as I like shooting rolling shots of cars cruising down city streets or through mountains, I also like shooting cars racing or just people having fun (dirt roads, drifting, off road, etc), which is reflected in some of my shots on here. So a few days ago I was shooting my Corolla SR5 while it was in the middle of the race and then thought about the K-rails/barriers and the camera flashes you see when going by and got the idea to shoot from the fan’s perspective (along said k-rail/barrier) or where there might be a photographer a long the course. I even went as far as trying to replicate the style of point and shoots, cell phones and even the perspective from GoPro or something similar on the back bumper of an opponent for one. I think some turned out alright but I wanted to share the proof of concept anyways.

Hope you enjoy the set. If you do, let me know. If not, still let me know.

One thing I would like to see in futre updates is the angles and layouts being mixed up a bit more.
