Frozen In Time Achievement not unlocking! [Please Fix]

I have found the barn find in Blizzard Mountain after getting notified by the rumor and then restored it. It was an International Scout 800A. However, 3 days after restoring the achievement still hasn’t popped for me. Please fix it as it’s the only one that I am missing currently. Any suggestions to unlock it will also be welcomed. I’ve tried driving it for a while to no avail.

I had the same issue. I’m not sure if it’s because I claimed the Scout from the Byron Bay site or because I left before Warren finished his ramble. Either way, I was able to unlock it using the offline save delete. Takes somewhere between 60 and 90 minutes if you go through with it.

  1. Close and quit the game.
  2. Go to All settings > Network settings and choose go offline.
  3. Manage the game and go to saved data, select your save and choose delete from console. (it will still exist in the cloud)
  4. Start the game, which will create a new save.
  5. Complete enough events to unlock Barn Finds. (Expand Festival + New Festival Site + 2 or 3 races)
  6. Find the first Barn Find. (possibly optional, but I found it. I didn’t restore it, though)
  7. Travel to Blizzard Mountain.
  8. Complete enough events to get 10 stars. (possibly optional as well)
  9. Drive around the mountain discovering roads until you hear the Barn Find rumor. (I had 42 out of 50 roads discovered)
  10. Find it, then travel back to the Blizzard Mountain festival site.
  11. Choose to pay to restore the Scout immediately. (Allow Warren to complete his rant prior to leaving the Forzavista screen)
  12. Get in the Scout. (Most likely optional, but you’re over an hour in at this point so why not)
  13. Close and quit the game.
  14. Manage the game and delete the save from the console again.
  15. Go back into network settings and go back online.
  16. Open the game.

The achievement should pop somewhere between opening the game and syncing the cloud save back to the console. Once your game starts syncing, make sure to let it finish. Mine seemed to stick at 99% complete for a few minutes. Do not leave the game screen while it is syncing. Once complete you’ll have your original save and the achievement unlocked.

Thanks for these detailed instructions–this still works in 2023! The achievement didn’t trigger until about 24 hours later (and I never got a notification on my console, PC, or phone), but it did eventually unlock.
