Since the most recent update, I’ve been getting fairly frequent crashes forcing me to have to kill the application.
At least one crash is repeatable. Every time I delete a Rivals message, it will crash. This has been a problem since launch, but now additionally, 2 out of every three times I launch the game, it will crash before loading into the game.
Once I get into the game, it generally plays without fault, unless I do the aforementioned deleting of Rivals messages. Any other crashes whilst playing seem to be anecdotal, but semi regular. Haven’t drawn any correlations there.
Edit: Also seems to be crashing whenever I try to fast travel to the festival.
PC player. 4790K, GTX1080ti, 16GB DDR31600, Win10 (Creators), Fanatec CSL Elite
Also crashes anywhere, racing, applying tunes to cars.
It is unplayable. We try to play everynight with a frinds but we give up after it crashes 2 or 3 times in 30 minutes.
I couldn’t complete this weeks events because it crashes constantly.
I don’t know why I spent money on this.
Tbh, Im not sure why there hasnt been a filing for a class action suit at this point, or a massive demand for refund for both game pass and game purchase. This game is broken beyond belief. Constant crashes, little to know support from the developers, OBS/Streaming issues galore. And yet like clock work they keep pushing out DLC crap when the basic functions of the game arent even working correctly. I have been struggling to play this game everyday since launch and usually like you after 2-3 crashes in a few minutes span get frustrated and move on to overwatch. What was the point in paying for a game i cannot play. I even tried to play on Console and kept having freezes, glitching, and disconnect issue to the point even that wasnt functioning. Plays best on XBOX ONE X? guess thats the only place you can play it because it sure as hell doesnt play good anywhere else
Do you have any programs running in the background like a browser or something? I have a similarly specced PC and noticed that when I have all my apps open, Chrome, Outlook, Steam, VLC and some stuff just open and not doing anything, the game will crash like every 20 minutes. If I close everything the game will run for hours on end without fault.
I know the feeling. Unplayable game for me. Random crashes, crashes after finishing speed zone, speed trap, driftzone. I have a ticket open. Opened it 6 days ago, and have yet to hear a reply. Its definitely a memory leak some where. Im running on a very high end PC, so theres no real reason for this to be crashing, besides the inept Devs (who probably dont know how to fix it) This is what im getting: - YouTube
It is honestly unacceptable at this point. This game has been plagued with crashes since launch. I can’t even enjoy the game because I know it will eventually crash. I used to enjoy long Goliath runs and such, but the fear of a crash prohibits me from doing them. I will not be pre-ordering another Forza title. Simply pathetic.
edit: And should I mention the extremely lousy dev responses and support. It’s like we’re talking to a wall. A very large wall made from our money.
Still no update to fix the crashes. I mean, are they even going to do it??? Because FH3 also crashed. They had 2 full years to figure out what was the problem with their broken game.
I haven’t been able to play for crashing since launch. It took support weeks to reply, and I was fobbed off.
I have now completely given up on getting this game to run and have moved on. I won’t kick up a fuss, but I can tell you now the experience has left a bad tase in my mouth and I won’t buy any games again from this developer.
