Found an laptime record issue during an Endurance race

During an Endurance race, The Sebring 350 (300?) which is like a 3 Hr race, I had found an issue where my fastest lap time was not being recorded. I noticed it because I was checking the competitions lap times to compare to my times. I saw 2nd place car was running a 2:13 lap time but I was running a 2:35 lap time??? I was in first place and also over 10 miles ahead of the competition by the end of the race. I checked my time and the leaderboard after completing each lap. Each time I lapped a 2:04, it said it was 0:31- 0:35 seconds better than my last lap! Every lap!

Now I believe this glitch occurred when I had accidentally ran out of fuel on lap 20 of 82 lol. I ran out of fuel near the last turn of before the finish line and managed to LUCKILY roll into the pits. I believe the time of 2:35 would match the amount of time it took me to roll into the pits from my usual 2:04 lap times. For a good 15 - 20 seconds I was sweating trying to roll into the pits lol. So there maybe a glitch that prevents the game from recording your fastest laptimes if it believes you have just lost the game from running out of gas. I did place first at the end and it showed my fastest lap time as being the 2:35 lap. Not a big deal but it may make some people trying to put down lap records frustrated.

If your 2:35 was your only clean lap and all others were dirty this would be why. I notice in races it doesn’t for me at least tell you when you’ve dirtied a lap. Somehow I managed to go that entire race without setting a clean lap, as 1:57:5xx was indeed my fastest, but drafting over 100mph dirties laps.
It is possible that it was a bug though.

Were your faster laps dirty? If so that would be why (I get an indicator, but it seems some people do not).

Even if you’re running mods during the race, the game seems to differentiate between a “traditional” clean lap and a dirty one, but all times when posted to the leaderboards will be dirty as long as mods are in play, as far as I know.

Although as stated, could very well be a bug if that isn’t the case. I’ve found going to Rivals mode and just running time attack is the most headache-proof way of setting lap times if that’s all you’re after.

Same thing happened to me (I had found an issue where my fastest lap time was not being recorded.)

BUT its it record and it correct in the leaderbords.

I felt it was more of a bug than the fact that maybe that was my only clean lap.
#1 I would have been driving at a snails pace to get that clean lap if it wasnt the lap I ran out of gas.
#2 This was around lap 17-20, I couldnt get another faster clean lap out of 60 laps when I was mostly by myself with the occassional lapping of slow cars?
#3 This was the Sebring 300 P class in the rain. I dont think any of my laps were clean lol.

if you use any mods all laps look clean but all are dirty.
