So I just received the 2009 Pontiac Solstice GXP as a reward for the League racing. I check out the car in Forzavista and the “explode” button is missing. Huh? Every other car has it.
How are global Forzavista options such as “explode” not simply applied to all cars in the game? It seems really odd that this particular car is missing it.
Simple, not all cars are modelled to the same level of detail. Especially when you have to put 700+ in a game.
When on a tight deadline why waste modelling an engine for a throwaway car like the Solstice (sorry any fans).
Updated: This isn’t about the engine bay (understand some cars don’t have this option), the explode option is just not there to open whatever is available. You can open manually.
On the engines part:
“After all, every car in Forza Motorsport 7 features a full Forzavista experience, allowing players to discover each car’s unique characteristics in exquisite detail. Nowhere is the Forzavista level of detail more apparent than with car engines”
Nothing odd about this car, I’m in it right now in forzavista, can open doors, hood, get imfo on engine, while inside start the car etc. All the usual stuff. So not sure what you are going on about
As for rear bumper, the option adds a vented panel on my car, so…
Considering this is the proper forum for any technical issues, I say you don’t get to tell customers what they can complain about. If it doesn’t bother you, then enjoy the game. You know the quick solution to all this? Not having these mis-steps in the first place like the visual glitches thread, which irritates me more.
Turn 10 has a big team, they can multi-task. I’ve said before that their QC team is lacking and stick by that as long as the “glitches” keep coming. If you ask me, this missing button can just easily be enabled much like when Forzavista was missing the stats for all the cars. What did they do? They enabled it, problem solved, because gamers posted their “complaints” on here.
As for the big team, yes, they do.
But half will be working on MAJOR bugs and major revisions to the game (penalties and drag racing) and the other half will be working on getting a playable Forza 8.
Minor anomalies in Forzavista which do not affect the game will not be wasting their time and money. Even the gear stick animations are more important than that.
And yes I get YOU think this is important but they spend millions on getting a get right for millions of people and there are bigger fish to fry.
The Dev themselves wont read these forums. The social media team will have one or two people browse them occasionally. The Devs know the bugs as they know the game very well over the last 4 years.
