#Forzathon - Quality over quantity

I was told to email Turn 10 after posting my last thread about this, and they never responded (as usual) so i decided to post the email i wrote them. Please don’t take this the wrong way. Please consider. (i never checked form any spelling errors or anything so forgive me if their is any)…

Quality over Quantity
By: A Forza gamer

Supply and demand. Its a huge part of the auction house market on Forza horizon 3. For example, the Porsche 918 Spyder is a rare car, and will run you 10 to 14 million in-game credits on the after-market. his can make people a lot of profit, and the car a sign of wealth. It was one of the only collectible cars in the game. It was the most expensive to. This car is ruined, as the upcoming Forzathon of 6/12/17 will be for 5 days, and the prize will be the Porsche 918 Spyder, All you do is have to complete a championship. This will crash the market and the value will dip. Too much supply. Did Turn 10 really have to ruin this car like the Ferrari 250LM and the Lykon Hypersport?

The only reason your doing this is to advertise Porsche, as you want everyone to have the best Porsche and love Porsche because that makes Turn 10 more cash, and ignores their players. Out of all Porsche’s, you ruined the best one. Add new cars into the game, not ruin them. I am constantly checking the achievements, as their is bound to be 1 or 2 cars ruined in value. You may be doing this because people complained on the rarity, as they have no concept of supply and demand.

How about Forzathon cars are hard to get, so their is a economy for them. If everyone has a Porsche, they will be worthless, no one will want them and forget about them. If their rare, like the Porsche 918 Spyder, it will be the spotlight of many YT videos about how to earn major profit on selling the car. Everyone knows the Lamborghini Centanrio because it is rare and good. Its unique and people will want to use it. Doing 3 street races for the Porsche Macan Turbo made the car practically worthless and no one will care about it, as they can’t make profit.

I worked for my Porsche 918 Spyder and had to buy it for 14.1 million in game credits. Now i have to sell it for 1.8 million, as i am not a legendary painter or tuner, so i can’t sell it for past that amount. I have lost a ton of profit, you guys have ruined another section of Forza to advertise Porsche. Instead of ruining old cars, how about add another drag car to put off the Dodge Dart Hemi 1968 or new engine swaps or the Bugatti Chiron, because that is what people want. No one wanted a ruined and worthless car. I like Forza besides the lack of care by the creators. I wouldn’t of spent 7 minutes writing this if it wasn’t a issue. Forza is boring, as their is no uniqueness and cars that make it stand out, besides advertising the Ford Gt 2017.

How about some cars besides Porsche’s, i checked all the upcoming Forzathons and their ether different year cars from the car pack. I understand it takes a long time to make these cars, but rather quality over quantity. Add something different for once. It really demotivates me to make tunes if i keep tuning the same thing every Forzathon. People are tired of Porsche’s, please consider this.

Thanks for reading all the way down here. You may ignore this. Before you click off, just think about what matters more, loyal gamer’s and Youtubers, or a couple extra bucks. I am not trying to spew hate, as i like this game. Every game has pros and cons. You should strive to fix those cons. Forza is the best and most successful racing game industry out their, don’t ruin it.

Update: i feel like the Ferrari’S i are two expensive. Make them into a Forzathon because i can’t save any money or work for it (just being sarcastic, don’t get triggered).

Some side information: A person (i won’t list their name unless asked to) private messaged me after the original topic and told me that i was being a snowflake and annoying. Instead of saying anything about the topic, he just sent two messages calling me annoying, selfish and bashing me. He tried his best working with his 5 brain cells.

They ruin them by letting more people have access to them?

Oh boo hoo. Let people have fun in those cars, if the only thing that makes you like them is because there’s not many of them, it makes you sound rather selfish.

They listen to the players by letting more of them access the cars, and not listening to whiny elitists.

People do want them, that’s why they’re allowing more opportunities for them to be obtained.

You just don’t seem to like it because you won’t be able to make money from people who want them. Sounds damn selfish to me.

It isn’t an issue. It’s just something perceived as one in your head because you driven by a selfish desire.

I could go on and pick holes in the rest of your post, but I’ve done enough, and I’m on my phone right now so it’s more difficult.

Edit:

So you go from complaining about being insulted, then go on to insult someone else? Jeez, how hypocrital is that…

I did a comeback l to reply to you bashing me and insulting me, which was off topic. Could you have tried to have a mature conversation with me?

I’ll reply more in the morning, posting these reply so on a small phone -_- with auto correctopic

Aside from fundamentally disagreeing with your overall point, logic and tone, I think you might be on to something.

runs quote through the lie detector machine, results came back “none found”

Earning the CR to buy a very expensive sought after car such as the Subaru Brat and many others was a goal I enjoyed.

I agree that making those cars available again does ruin a big part of the game, whats the point in saving and buying a Brat months ago and being proud of your achievement if they make it worthless a month later? The Brat went from 5mil to zilch value in a day - so much for having a worthwhile goal.

They could do better than this by creating new favorites instead of killing the value of a previous car that someone worked hard to earn.

Anyone who sees this as selfish just because they refuse to work for something and expect it to be handed to them over and over again may need to look up the definition of selfish.

The way some cars become rare and valuable is a great part of the game, it encourages a lot of money grabbers but it also gives others a goal to obtain it - i always liked this aspect of the game and I agree those cars should be left as they are.

Ya I read all that and got to the last part… and you REALLY wonder why you got no reply? It all came crashing down.

Seriously? Everyone knows by now that any car can show up in a Forzathon. Spending 14 000 000 on a car is crazy and you do so at your own risk. I spent quite a bit of money on HE cars and then won them on a wheel spin soon after. The only difference is I didn’t write a letter about it because those things happen and I’m a reasonable person. You probably could have earned most of your money back in the time it took you to think up your complaint letter doing Goliath races. Credits come pretty easy in this game. I barely play and have 490 cars and 5-10 million credits. I really don’t understand some people.

It was a rare car, a car that was one of the best in the game.

So what if it was a rare car.

Why does it have to stay rare?

And?

It’s entirely your own fault for paying so much for it. And if it’s so good, then why would you want to sell it?

This is a game. All content should be available to all who paid the entrance fee.

If i sell my 2nd 918 for 14m i will love the 500% profit.

I would like to +1 the PMs mentioned in the OP.

I’ll take that +1 and stand by what I sent.

I’m also proud to say that it only took 4 of my 5 apparent brain cells to think of them!

4? I think 1 would have worked.

The 918 Spyder was given away in a previous forzathon as well.
I doubt this is going to have any effect on the auction prices. Weren’t people worrying about the same thing with the HE Huracan?

The thing about supply and demand is it fluctuates to external forces ie. Turn 10 who puts the rare cars like the Spyder into availability and the players who places the value they are willing to pay for them.

The TS however wants to dictate a stagnant supply and demand, having a fix supply and maintaining a certain price. This is not about keeping a car rare, this is exclusivity.

A car is still kept rare because the opportunities to obtain them are few, and is still susceptible to market forces. A once off car is an exclusive.

Exclusives are preorder and competition prizes, and is understandable to demand high prices.

Forzathon cars and HE wheelspin cars are non-exclusives and shouldn’t be dictated as such by a player, they are essentially rewards for players (which is how TS got them in the first place, someone had to have taken part in the forzathon) and they have to adhere to normal market forces.

Please don’t think that someone who took part in a forzathon is entitled to exclusivity while leaving other players out in the cold. Forzathons were never described to be exclusive events, but recurring ones to reward players.

I worked for mine as well by Completing the Challenge and still have it not a car I would consider selling would delet it before selling.

Just what do you consider a loyal gamer I have Horizon 1, 2, and 3 Forza Motor Sport 5 and 6 and why the mention of Utubers some of whom do nothing but show ways of exploiting the game, encouraging player to scalp there fellow gamers.
The AH should be caped at no more than twice the market value. I mean really what is the point of one player owening 20 or more Spiders or RX7
And dont bother about the Painters deserve to be able to sell for more I dont disagree with that it the ammount I disagree with as they also get paid for every download and like, so they dont need such a high mark up in the AH.

I just can’t work up any sympathy for marketeers.
