Since I was unaware of the Porsche 918 Spyder being a forzathon event and working all day yesterday. I completely missed out on the “once in a lifetime” chance on getting this car.
I hardly see this as a fair prospect, considering how I paid for the DLC.
It’s not a once in a lifetime chance given that there are cars available in the Auction House. And it may come up in future Forzathons.
There are plenty of people who don’t like that some Porsches require actual money to buy in the form of paid DLC. This one was added to the game for free.
You make a good point but how am I supposed to gain the 7.2 Million credits without using illegitimate methods e.g. websites that offer this kind of service.
Play the game. Simple as that.

Anyone’s sole opinion makes nothing a controversy. Just because l don’t want to go out for a walk with the missus doesn’t make it a controversy.
Well I’ve missed out haven’t I so it’ll probably never come back and will be made a paid DLC.
The 918 isn’t apart of the DLC even the people that bought the DLC are out and need to use AH if they didn’t do the forzathon… currently. Not sure that makes it better or worse, just information
I do assume that it will be in a future Forzathon, similar to the Silvia which was on a single day Forzathon. I would try and stay current with the schedules - I work all day to, but knew it was coming up and that I wanted so I got up early and popped it out to get it and headed off to work, I know that it sucks, but ultimately T10/PG decided it and I just arranged to be able to get it. It most certainly will come back around and the AH will have it as well.
I wish my Missus was like yours - because I would beg to differ – certainly would be a contoversy until I did walk with her.

It is going to cost you a lot of money but the 918 will be on the auction house. Luckily my buddy called me and told me to hop on Forza and get the challenge done but if I were you I would constantly be checking the auction house for a steal although I have not seen one for under 10 million. Good luck though.
The real problem with that is the way ‘legendary painters’ have cornered the market, buying up all the cheap 918s that regular players auctioned (and aren’t allowed to set a high price) and then re-listing to make millions.

It’s an interesting and disappointing thing how the AH market behaves and suffers like a real market.
As a quick thought l think everyone should share the same price cap. If players want to pay extra from paints and tunes they will. Why privelege it.
The AH does not behave like a real market. A real market lets the market decide what the price cap for a commodity is. The AH says “only elite painters/tuners” can have no price cap. Heck…i bought a ton of Superleggera’s hoping that the artificial cap goes away, unfortunately it has not.
Don’t even go there with illegitimate methods. Play the game - exhibitions, Rivals, Championships - make use of Skill Points and Perks for boosts, redeem your Forza Rewards, participate in weekly Photo/Livery competitions, share tunes and designs, play the auction house for profit yourself - there are plenty of legitimate ways to earn credits in the game.
Wait, what? There was a Forzathon yesterday to win the 918? Well, I’ve missed that because I was under the impression Forzathons were supposed to be starting on Fridays for three days. What gives?

There were already a lot of 1-day-Forzathons. You must have missed quite a few. At the beginning of every month they release the schedule for that month, it announces all 3-day- and 1-day-Forzathons.
Its unfair lol. Think again on this one. Its not their fault you were unaware of this Forzathon seeing they announced the heck out of it all on these forums/news section a week before it started. You think its right that cause you paid money for the DLC and the game that you and only you get to get the car without doing anything. Think again on that one also as how many other people do you think paid for everything for this game and also missed out on the forzathon because they forgot or had to work and wernt home.
