Something else in Forza 7 isn’t working…

Just found this in WIR…

#Forzathon Events
We’ve got a new #Forzathon event up in Forza Motorsport 7 as of today. Check out the Forza World Tour Part 2 event now. Complete all the steps in this series and you can take home the 1932 Ford De Luxe Five-Window Coupe!”

I presume that it means ONE EVENT but, even so, it still does not work for me no matter what I do!!!
Can some one please tell me what I have to do/use/how long to wait/which area to play in/etc to get it to work as some one must know.
As I said earlier the plot has been lost at F7 HQ!!!

I know it doesn’t cover the entire Forza 7 player base, but it does cover about 32,000 Forza 7 players, and it’s all 0%…

Disappointed

Mechberg on the livestream just now: “The team is aware and investigating.”

You’d think they’d be tired of saying that…

I just hope the team investigating are not the same ones who QA tested it.

So, has ANYONE got it to work at all, and if so, can they post what did work?

At this point, I’m convinced they don’t QA test anything…

It’s #Forzathon time!

Huh? My progress isn’t being counted, despite having hard reset the console. Five laps in a V8 supercar at Bathurst and going 180 MPH at Dubai seemed worthless (I at least got decent credits from those 5 laps!)

Pretty sure it was an issue with the server, until I saw this from Max:

Typical response (as ever Turn 10). At least they’re “aware and investigating”.

Forzathons have been buggy in general. These issues exist since Horizon 3.

However, this is the first instance I’ve encountered where the challenge simply refuses to register. I did the drifting one, to get that out of the way so I can focus on the fun part of the game, and it did not register.

In fact, I’ve done it twice, in a proper drift event as well as in a proper race. Didn’t work.

I’ve never had an issue with ANY of the forzathons in FH3
They worked first time, every time…just never use dlc cars

Didnt really have any issues with the previous forzathons in FM7 either except the delay in progression which was avoidable too
But this one is stuffed
And only showing the World Tour pt 2 for me too

“To The Slopes” and “Forza World Tour Part 2” are the only events that have showed up for me not any of the other events like everyone else has said. I’ve rebooted my console and tried just exiting and relaunching the game 3 or 4 times. I used the HSV GenF GTS and the HDT Commodore Group A. I’m on the Xbox One.

Tried this; six laps SP free play on Bathurst w/2016 #22 HRT Sharkbite VF Commodore. Have quit the game and restarted, no dice. Still seeing 0/5 in the Forzathon checklist in-game.

And only Forza World Tour Part 2 is showing up in my game. No other Forzathon events. Have tried another race, quit the game and hard-rebooted. Still nothing.

You’d almost think T10 needed at least a month to get this right. Oh, wait. That HAD a month to get this right. Sheesh.

No kidding.

I tried a couple of laps with the 1973 Holden HQ Monaro and didn’t work for me either.

Perhaps they should go ahead and gift us the cars and driver suit. Lord knows that VIPs don’t get a special liveried car each month like we used to.

Pity the Falcon GTHO (and others) won’t count since the Australian designed and built cars are American insert continuous, why won’t they ever fix this rollface here

I agree with this. The first Ford Falcon around 1960 was designed in the USA technically for the USA conditions so about 100 miles on the Aussie roads half the front end parts ended up laying out on the road or hanging around your ears so the Australian side took over the majority of the designs and development by the time the GTHO etc was released however it was always rubber-stamped in Detroit, the bean counters were in Detroit so that makes it a USA car.

Ford is a very tricky manufacturer to classify because they handled all their divisions in-house as opposed to GM. Under the Ford umbrella in Forza, you have cars such as the Lotus Cortina from Ford Britain, the Falcon GTHO Phase III from Ford Australia, the Escort RS1800 MkII from Ford Europe (created by joining Ford Germany and Ford Britain), and obviously the Ford Mustang from Ford “proper” (USA).

However, every time Ford went overseas to contest world championships, they did so strictly as an American manufacturer, and the Australian Fords were liberal in their use of Ford powertrains sourced from America. So, while the Falcons were assembled in Australia, they also had a fair bit of “America” in them and Ford would promote their achievements in Australia globally, as with their achievements everywhere else.

Holden on the other hand is an Australian manufacturer functioning as a subsidiary of GM, like Vauxhall in Britain and Opel in Germany (until last year, sadly). So, in theory, they aren’t an American company with an Australian arm, but an Australian company owned by GM. That’s why the Australian flag makes more sense for Holdens than Fords, strange (and sad) as it may sound.

I’ve completed at least 4 different 5-lap races on Bathurst in various Australian cars (I keep changing them to see if it’s one of those problems where certain cars don’t work) and it never acknowledges that I’ve completed the first stage of the Forzathon. It’s quite frustrating. Does anyone have any ideas?

I’m running build 1.116.458.2 on a Windows 10 PC.
