#Forzathon Jan. 26 - Feb. 28

After completing an objective, select NEXT RACE from the post-race menu.
selecting QUIT seems to create the bug every time, but loading the next race
then backing out after the START RACE prompt seems to track all the progress.

Has worked five times in a row for me YMMV.

This is the method that everyone who completes them uses.

Edit: but we usually complete the next race. Might give this a try when they start to appear again.

I still only have the one challenge I have tried too restart system numerous times are still having same issue ?

Try restarting it on February 19th, when this (hopefully) will be fixed with the new update.

Does that thread seriously say that if my Forzathon progress is stuck and if I can only see one of the three events that it is just that way until the update on the 19th? Really? This game is so frustrating.

Normally I would only understand and accept such a behavior from a small developer that can’t patch things fastly and isn’t able to pay numerous small patches and so bundles them into one big one. Speaking of somehting the size of T10 it’s just a disgrace.

You guys do realize that ANY developer, not just Turn 10 can’t just drop a patch on Xbox. I learned this back when The Golf Club came out. The main developer explained how with Steam the could do a patch and immediately push it out. PlayStation took 3-4 days for it to get approved and pushed. Xbox always took at least 2 weeks for it to get tested and approved. There is a whole lot more going on behind the scenes at Microsoft to push a patch than just the developer writing and then releasing it. It’s up to you all but you might consider cutting the Devs a bit of slack on this.

I do know about the two weeks of verification but it’s not like this happened the first time with a Forzathon in FM7. And it’s just the overall figure of the game which is pathetic.
Forzathon gets included? A whole mess since release.
New 3 laps rival gets included? A mess and gets immediatly removed. I couldn’t even test it.
MP will be regulated this time? Aside from Elite league (which is mostly empty) just carnage without consequences for the rammers.
Insanely lagging menus? Still there since release. Sometimes it’s impossible to switch a car during the preparation time - or it freezes and you get kicked out of the lobby.
Oh, you have an awesome tune for a car? It would be a shame if it wouldn’t load when choosing the car in MP.

I like the racing in this game very much,. It feels really good in its simcade genre. Everything else cries “beta” all over the place.

I would be happy to cut the devs some slack, if this was the FIRST time, but it is not. They do not have the slightest clue how to release a successful forzathon as best I can tell from my experience. Playground can seemingly work with Turn 10’s base code and work with their modified libraries and code and push out forzathons week after week but the Originators of the base code cannot. At the end of the day the problem is the predatory nature of the gaming industry that has conditioned their customers to accept poor product and endlessly patching AFTER the sale is made. We should not have to cut the devs slack for not getting patches out fast enough because we should have never allowed them to learn they do not have to put out a quality product that is produced and tested fully BEFORE the sale. Yes there are always bugs and unexpected results in complex code and I can appreciate that correcting them when found takes time but only if they own up and communicate, they need to come completely clean over the situation and start asking for forgiveness for the seemingly endless debacle that this release has been.

I usually do not start looking forward to the next release in the franchise until August, but after my experience this time around I am more than ready for a Horizon 4 release date.

Getting patches out fast enough?! XBox is the hardest platform to release a patch on because of Microsoft’s verification process. It’s not always T10’s fault that patches get released later than they probably should.

You sure about that 2 weeks as some of the developers im in touch with as to probles with the Advertising SDK crashing Apps on the XBox are only taking between 12 to 24 hours Monday to Friday. So 2 Weeks sounds like a bit of a stretch espaciall on a Play any where title.

But it is their fault that they cannot put out a quality product to start with. Don’t misunderstand me, It is complex work that takes the two year cycle to develop and they cannot catch every bug or issue. They can however have a robust testing and QA department that at minimum prevents the egregious flaws to go out the door. One day of testing any of the forzathon content would have shown it is a half-baked bolt on that they can just not execute as well as Playground does in the Horizon series.
Was it needed? No.
Is it critical to the overall game? No.
Are we being prevented from getting to unlock content because it does not work smoothly? Yes.
Do they have an obligation to execute properly once they decided to make it part of the game? Yes.

I am happy to vote Forza 7 as much a red-headed step child as Windows ME.

Why do people keep praising PG for quality? Horizon 3 keeps freezing on the Xbox One S (something they have NEVER been able to solve, and I rate a console freeze as more critical than a PC one) and there are many cars with annoying bugs such as the Nissan Titan which they just left as is.

Furthermore, the sound direction of Horizon 3 is absolutely inferior to the one in Forza 7. It’s almost disgusting to drive Mustangs in Horizon 3 due to how subdued the samples are.

At least the volume is consistent in H3. The obligatory volume change in FM7 MP races is beyond annoying.

It’s not consistent. Many cars are much louder without reason.

And the muffled audio in MP is related to mic settings in the console.

im sorry but the quality of H3 is FAR better than 7 sound aside. I’ve barely ever had a problem with 3 compared to the insane amount of freeze ups, glitches, weird things going on. Can’t even do a rival right now, forzathons are a buggy mess ect. YET i still am addicted to this game and play everyday because i like the campaign and the car collecting. I love the forzathons and it drives me nuts i can’t even do them.

H4 is gonna run circles around 7. They really need to go back to the board for 8 and overhaul like crazy… and take 3 years. This game was not finished…

They both have issues. In Horizon 3 every so often the loading drivatars screen locks at driver 11. I experience it almost every other week when doing the Forzathons.

The creative corner challenges don’t show up, but the achievement does. Would I be able to unlock the motion capture driver gear if I know what the challenges are and complete them?
