Forza Motorsport 7 Gone Gold!
Answers to quite a few of the common “when are we” questions in there ![]()
Demo on the 19th. Nailed it!
No new reveal with ‘Gone Gold’? A minor downer for me but expect some forum pitchforks incoming.

No last 30 cars announcement with it =( !
Maybe next week ? …
Most likely FE cars, with most of them being ports from FH3.
Nissan NISMO GT-R LM
If this notation is correct, we will be driving a front-drive machine, not Super GT 's GT-R GT 500.
Using that nomenclature, it could even be the '95 NISMO GT-R LM from FH3, which has the exact same name…
Honestly though, it’s likely to be the same GT500 car which was featured in the other showcase demos. Still, I’m excited to get my hands on the game now that it is gold!
SWEEEEET! What time will this be released U.K time?
I was hoping for it sooner but at least I will be able to do a PC test a week prior to UE launch.

Quick! Hands up anyone who didn’t guess the demo would be the same thing we’ve seen 1.2 trillion times.
Anyone? Hello? Anybody there?
Of course it’s based on what we’ve already seen, the demos have always been based on what is shown over the summer at the various games conferences. Why would they spend the time, money and effort to build something different in addition to what they’re already planning to demonstrate?
The demo really isn’t for you, you’re already buying the game and have followed development closely to date. The demo is more to attract those who might be new to the game or who haven’t been following its development at all.
Well I can think of a few (well, quite a few, actually) reasons but I’m not going to go there. This forum doesn’t need anymore of that.
…you’re already buying the game and have followed development closely to date…
Well, you’re right about one thing: I have followed development pretty closely. hence why you’re wrong about the other thing. For now, anyway. It won’t take much to convince me to buy, but they haven’t quite given me the fizz yet. But – to partially quote Jules Winnfield: “I’m trying, Ringo. I’m trying REEEEAL hard.”
There was definitely a Huracan Peformante in that trailer, but when it transitioned from live action to the game, it just turned into a standard Huracan. How typical…
…and we lost the Yugo, too. Also typical.

The article states exactly what it is and yes, it is exactly what we have already seen, but it will be completely different watching it vs. playing it.
Quite disappointed… i was hoping to see Shannon Mcintosh on the spot…
I’m only downloading the demo to see how it runs on PC. Already know that I want the game for the Xbox. I wish there was some kind of control for the dynamic weather in the demo.

Edit: Apparently that was just a Huracan with a bodykit, which is admittedly very misleading without a closer look. Maybe that bodykit will be in-game instead, but oh we know T10.
Of course you’re already buying the game, you wouldn’t be here otherwise grinding your axe every single day as that would be a colossal waste of time and effort on your part and that just doesn’t make much sense, now does it?
The demos have always, always, always been based on precisely what has been shown over the summer at the games conferences. You’ve been here more than long enough to know it yourself so I’m not entirely sure why you think they’d suddenly break with that process and do something different. They’re going to make a demo to show off at the conferences and then they’re going to take all that they’ve done for that and package it as a demo for players to try the game themselves prior to release. Devoting additional resources to creating something completely separate from the work they’ve already done doesn’t make any sense fiscally. To what end would they ever want to do that? And how many posts would we see complaining that they spent the resources when they could have been devoted to something else?
You know how Forza works, you know how the physics work and how the game plays. You are not the target market for the demo. Sure, they’d like you to download it and give it a try so you can confirm what you have good reasons to suspect the game plays like but in the end, you’re already on board. If the demos were physical copies that were limited in number and being handed out to a queue larger than the available copies, they’d ask veterans such as yourself to stand aside and let the new players try it first. Because they are the target market for the demo, not you.
I dunno about waste of time. I come here – as I have for years – looking for feedback from anybody – mods, other players, veterans, newbies – about the game. Sometimes a conversation gets up, some times it doesn’t but I enjoy posting in these forums, whether I end up buying the game or not. Call me a weirdo if you like, but I find it to be a good distraction.
At any rate, you’re right. The demo is coming, it’s going to involve what it’s going to involve, maybe it will attract more to the game. Also: FM7 has Gone Gold which is exciting for many, and that’s good, and that is all. I’m sorry if I stole the thunder from the announcement. That wasn’t my purpose, but I realize now it may have come off that way.

Thank you for that.
Weirdo.
Edit: For the record, my posts were not directed at just you personally. It’s an ongoing thing with a number of posters and is typical in the run-up to a new release.
I understand and appreciate, from my own long experience, the frustration about Turn 10 and their marketing plan. I used to find it completely baffling to the point of distraction but in the end, I resolved to recognize it for what it is and just let it go. They’ve got a plan and they’re sticking with it, regardless of whether or not the forums are on fire and people are getting apoplectic over it. It might change one day but again, based on experience, I wouldn’t bet on it happening anytime soon.
What does put me off is the fact that we’ve had no news about the upcoming game, good, bad or indifferent, for what, a week now? Today, finally, we’ve got some news. Some really big news for many.
And some posters’ first instinct is to drag their rain clouds to yet another thread and try to poke holes in the news.
To what end?
Does this make them feel better about themselves?
Do they think this benefits them personally? Or us as a community? Of the game as a whole?
Criticism is always welcome, in fact, it can be quite useful and beneficial. Relentless negativity, however, is neither welcome or useful or beneficial.
You don’t have to be sunshine and rainbows with every post but if you are instead consistently overcast and raining, then there’s something wrong. With you. Whoever you are.
It’s a video game, a fairly inexpensive luxury purchase from what should be discretionary funds. If it’s not only not going to provide you with enjoyment but is also going to be such a drain on your mental health, you really should take stock of where you are and look to make better purchasing decisions for yourself.
