So, I just played the new FH3 expansion, FH3:Track Days. Seriously, the tracks are gorgeous but the car models look like leftovers from FH3 or even FM5 and FH2! It looks like Forza is going to arcade full tilt. What do you guys think?
I agree OP. I agree.
Who have they made 7 for?
They want the Horizon crowd clearly, but they already have Horizon so who have they made FM 7 for?
Hello everyone, I come with the first impressions and bugs.
1- When playing on the keyboard some functions do not work as (a) look behind, rear view mirror, (b) clutch
2- LIGHTS in tunnels, where did they end up? They do not work the same Forza Horizon 3, what happened?
ORDER:
Please TURN10, create a lights system on the cars where players can turn them on and off whenever they want, horns would be fun too, even if it’s a DLC (but does it have to be for ALL cars okay?), I’ll pay!
The performance is magnificent, I played on Ultra with 150% staggering with locked 61fps using:
Xeon W3690 @ 4.3Ghz
24GB 1866Mhz
980TI Lightning
Thanks for the more WONDERFUL game!
Some audios have not been translated too!
Am I playing the same game? I’m playing on the Xbox One so I’m unaware of any issues with the Windows version. I’ve done the introductory races. The drivatars seem a little tamer than FM6. I’ve done one race in the Hot Hatch series. The car drove as I expected. I changed the assist to allow for a long race. Thank you Turn 10 for this. I turned some other assists off too because I’m not new to the series. I haven’t played the game enough to serious rate the game but I will say my first impression is optimistic.
Have you played FM6 at length on a good sound system? What are your impressions on car sound? Specifically bass and volume level (compared to 6).
Got any examples / screemshots? Only played for a couple of hours but I definitely didn’t notice anything wrong with the car models.
Off the top of my head, if you go to the Specialty Dealer and check out the Nissan, you’ll see what I mean. Ever so slightly exaggerated lines and such. Some of the cars have hard edges in real life but they have been smoothed over in the game such as that Nissan, but others have sleek lines in real life but have been boxed up a little in the game. It just seems like they went more towards arcade body models instead of sim racing realism style.
Another thing is that cars that are taken to the track aren’t dipped in shellac before being unloaded from the toy hauler. Some of these car models are covered in a near mirror finish, even in the rain! And the colors seem to lack depth. Some of that is from lighting certainly.
The reality though is that they made these changes to appeal to a broader fan base so they can make money, which is what they are there to do so good for them. Just not good for me. Oh well, it was a good run while it lasted. It went far longer than Gran Turismo did for sure.
It’s not a knock against the game really, just disappointing in that it’s not what I was expecting or hoping for. BUT, the beauty of it all is that is just MY opinion and others may think that everything is peachy and plenty of players will say this is the best Forza ever made. And everybody is actually right because games are to each of us what they are to each of us individually.
I don’t take peoples thoughts on games as gospel by any means and I certainly don’t ever want anybody to take mine that way and play or not play a game based on what I have to say about it! I’m pretty crazy out there with my opinions and I know it! Happy racing folks!
I havent loaded it yet is it that bad?? Everything i have seen seems on par with F6. The demo seemed par for the course.

It’s not a bad game by any stretch. It is what would happen if FM6 and FH3 were hanging out with a bottle of wine or tequila late one night and Barry White happened to come on the radio. (I can only imagine little GameCube sized FM7 discs running around)
You actually hit the nail on the head with your post though. It IS on par with FM6. A two year old game is what I would have pegged it for if I just watched some footage without knowing what it was.
I have played every Forza, and have not been too critical. It’s a great series, but 7 is weak. It’s the first time I really feel like I wasted my money. The crate thing is weak. The way prizes are handed out is weak. The career progression is weak. The cars have finally gotten old and tired. Locked cars is weak. It feels like such a step back. The layout is terrible. 6 seems so much more polished. Hate on me all you want, but this forza faithful is extremely disappointed in this game. No, the sky isn’t falling. It’s just a game.
Of what I’ve seen and read so far, I think I’m skipping this game, I was totally bored by F6 after a week, and this game doesn’t seem to be any better…

The nice thing about Forza 7 is its now on the PC so i get why it would not be a worthy upgrade for you and others if you are still on the xbox one. You can always get Project Cars 2, I have that as well, the multiplayer drags somewhat and it takes time to find a good lobby
