I flogged my Xbox the other day and was dreading finding out what was in this pack, but now all is revealed I’m not feeling that regretful. The Lancia is cool, the Datsun is too but at the same time weird and the Holden is the one for me, from what I saw it closely resembles an old Opel, like MK1 Manta or something, so would’ve enjoyed painting it to resemble one, but oh well.
As for this ‘surprise’, I hope it isn’t all that either as I don’t want to regret selling my console haha.
I like this trend of the DLC being a good mixture of cars I’ve always wanted and cars I never knew I wanted. That Lancia looks preposterous, and the Maserati sounded like an absolute monster. I’m also glad to see the Datsun 2000, which I’ve wanted for a while – I’m sure a lot of people aren’t impressed, but in a historical sense it rounds out the Fairlady Z and 510 for the trio of late '60s/early '70s Datsuns that broke Japanese import motorsports into the United States. It is so popular among enthusiasts, you cannot find one for sale. And when you do, it goes for near original retail price. People who hate on it, never experienced one. The Prowler, was an amazing little car.
I used to see 'em every now and then here in Louisiana, but I haven’t seen one in quite a while. Nowadays, I see more Nissan GTRs than Plymouth Prowlers, which I think is an improvement.
I rolled my eyes at the Prowler, too, but then I realized that almost everything laughable about it (auto transmission, underpowered V6) can be easily solved through upgrades. We could actually find out what it SHOULD have been like.
What confuses me is the name of the pack. The car’s are all amazing but 4 out of the 7 cars you will never see on eBay. Makes zero sense, there’s no theme its just a advertisement.
Hate to? You’ve already made three separate posts in two pages, complaining.
I’m surprised at the backlash for the pack. FM5’s DLC took a lot of flak for being so many 360-era returns, so here comes a pack with 6 entirely-new-to-the-series additions, all with Motorsport heritage (barring the Prowler)… and people complain.
FM6, even in base form, is surprisingly well-spread with regards to decades and disciplines. This pack just adds to that. Sure, I wouldn’t mind the latest Vent-Door Slightly-Increased-Number SV, or a GT-R with some new headlights and a questionable bodykit, but they’re hardly massive changes to what’s already in the game.
Kudos to T10 for strengthening what’s already the highest quality, most diverse car list on consoles.
