Welcome to The Official FMDC thread.
Drifters and Judges needed please check bottom of thread

All drivers “MUST” meet car restriction rules.
All drivers must qualify.

Car Restrictions:
[+]A Class or Lower
[+]650 HorsePower Cap
[+]No Drag or Race Slicks .
[+]You “MUST” Have Race roll cage.
[+]RWD Front engine Only!!
[+]No Positive Camber on front tires.
[+]Car must weigh above 2100 LBS.
Judging: (75 Point Maximum)
Angle: 20 Up to +5 Style Points For massive angle + Consistent speed.
Clipp/Line: 15 15 Divided by amount of corners EXAMPLE: A Track has 3 corners… You miss 1 clip you only get 10 if your not close enough to another you lose according to your distance away of the 5 possible for that corner.
GAP: 10 Up to +5 For door riding. The reasons this is so low is because we want more consistency instead of powering through corners.
Style: 15 +5 For Personal Style. Aggressiveness Speeds,Angle,Wall Scraps,Proximity.
OMT-ONE MORE TIME: If Combined judges cannot determine a winner.
ANGLE: The Most angle you can hold without disturbing your line. Ex Missing clipping point to get massive angle=Useless.
Clipping-Points (Line): The drift line is defined as the ideal path a vehicle must take on course and is marked by inner clipping points and outer clipping zones:the
points at which you must have an accurate proximity. The exact line of each track will be dictated by the judges at each track.
Accuracy (of information, measurements, statistics, etc.) correct in all details; exact.
(EXAMPLE:)
GAP/SPEED: Extreme proximity to the lead vehicle. You will be judged on Entry speed,Transitional speed exit speed and any pulls you do towards or away from your
opponent(Without any major angle sacrafices).
Style: You may get judged on Aggressive Corner Entries, Wall “SCRAPES”, extreme angle etc…
Contact:
If the follow car contacts the lead car, and causes the lead car to stop drifting, or pushes the lead car too far away from their line, the RUN goes to the lead car.
If the follow car contacts the lead car, and the lead car can continue drifting the “WHOLE COURSE”, the result is a points deduction.
If the lead car isn’t consistent it will result in a REDO(Example:Formula Drift Crash - Vaughn Gittin Jr. vs Fredric Aasbø - Road YouTube?
v=99H09YBtJVA after redo’s are used, judge accordingly.
Of course, if the lead car feels that its necessary redo that run, then that option is available but that will be a loss of the leads 1,redo.
I. LEAD CAR
The lead car is required at all times to run the line given by the judges and also maintain adequate speed throughout the course. If the lead car measures untypical
speed, this may result in a score against that driver. Typical speed for a lead car is defined as speeds of equivalent measurement from general speeds.
If the lead car loses drift, goes off line or reduces speed too drastically in comparison to that particular driver’s qualifying speeds and the chase car hits the lead
car, the lead car will in most cases be deemed at fault for the contact. It is each individual judge’s job to ascertain fault. There may be circumstances where the
lead car is not at fault for the contact, but this will be left to each individual judge to ascertain.
II. CHASE CAR
The chase car is required at all times to follow and chase the lead car. The driver of the chase car is encouraged to know the approximate speed of the lead car
through the entire course. If the chase car makes contact, in most cases that driver will be deemed at fault for the contact unless otherwise noted. Contact known as
“rubbing” is acceptable, however the chase car cannot affect the lead car where loss of drift or loss of line occurs.
Only 1 REDO is allowed per person.
The Gentlemen’s Roll:
Drivers must drive between a -5 or +5 of assigned MPH of the track. For everyone who cannot Follow the rules you will be penalized.
No Overtake:
After a 50 roll, you cannot overtake a drifter until they have reached the start of the first turn! The NO OVERTAKE ZONE is between the 50 roll and the first corner of
that section.
Tire Drop/Dirt Drop:
Two or more tires in the dirt is considered a dirt drop, therefore the call for “clipping point” in the battle must not be given to that drifter. You can still judge
it on Speed/GAP and angle, so i stress that judges don’t deprive a drifter of the whole turn due to a dirt drop. Only one tire in the dirt is allowed and you can only
call inside clipping point from the second closest tire to the white line. Dirt droppes are only allowed before and or after a clipping point it “MUST NOT” Affect the
clipping point.
So basically if a front tire dirt drops, that tire is off the track, the next closest tire to the clipping point must be used from then on during that turn.
Feel Free to post opinions and options. Constructive criticism accepted.
