Hey, i see that the digital download on xbox live is going cheap. Is there still an issue where the downloaded game doesn’t work? and asks you for a disc?
The game is aging.
When games age, retailers usually reduce the game’s price.
It might also signal that Horizon 1’s end-of-life is coming.
I’m sure you are right, i have the game on disc, and would rather have a digital version now that the price is reduced…
Well, to be honest I never noticed any issue like that with my digital version asking for any disc. I bought a game key for it from eBay for like $7 and some change and been playing it since last summer. If you can find reputable sellers it can be had for super cheap if you know where to look. It was either I buy the digital for cheaper or have to pay like $15 for a second hand copy and I just prefer digital games lately.
A french seller has a code listed for $8.36. If you type in this to google I am sure you will find it.

I do recall similar errors a long while back with digital copies of the game, but as far as I know that was only occurring in a few limited users (most likely using the old style phat Xbox 360s. Hopefully the digital version (if Horizon 1 goes to backwards compatibility) on Xbox One will be $19.99 as well. I wouldn’t mind using a disc, but not using a disc is better.
