So since we’ve all gotten amazing news today I have a burning question that needs to be quenched and that is will FH6 be releasing before or after Grand Theft Auto 6 and also how will it be released in the same year as Fable and yes I’m well aware that there’s a 2nd team that works on Fable so what is everyone’s thoughts on this?

Yes. Next year (2026) is the 25th year anniversary celebration of Xbox & they are going to release FH6, Fable, Gears of War E day and the return of an iconic franchise that has been around since the beginning (rumors say it’s Halo: Combat evolved remake).
I don’t think that it’ll be releasing in fall since FH6 game play is releasing in early 2026 and usually game play trailers have an announcement for said game unless if I’m wrong 
if only we have a date for Xbox Developer Direct in January 2026 for us to see if FH6 game play will revealed during said Direct

Developer Direct is usually near the end of the month, so sometime between 20 - end of January.

Well hopefully in November or December we’ll have the date for it cause the past one’s were 20 something of January and 1 was on the 18th of January and it’s 3 months till January so we don’t have long to find out

My guess is that, unfortunately, we’re not going to get much info until early 2026.
Maybe some small & medium details like the cover car or pricing & editions?

February is too soon without a proper trailer. Middle of December is cutting it too close to the holidays for people to buy for their kids.

Traditionally Forza Horizon has had it’s big announcement at E3, and then released 2-4 months later.
I honestly believe the only reason this trailer happened is because Phil Spencer opened his big fat mouth and declared there would be a big announcement related to Forza before the end of the year. Based on how little of substance was in the teaser, I’m guessing the game is still in “it’s ready when it’s ready” state, which, to be clear, I’m fully supportive of and PGG themselves made it clear this Forza Horizon is going to take longer.
My best guess, we’re going to get a limited vertical slice look at the end of January, and then a full reveal at “not-E3” with a more specific release date. I’m guessing late August, although I could really see a game like this aiming to fill the summer release void before the fall blockbuster window. But again, this is just a guess, not an expectation.

This. The fact that this is the first game in the franchise to get a teaser trailer that wasn’t even made in-engine tells me this was done just to make sure people knew another game was coming for sure, and announcing the setting as Japan would be the hook to keep people invested further. I’m not sure how much it’s worked outside the community though, because for how much Horizon 5 sold, the casual and non-racing game audience hasn’t really reacted much to this teaser, or the news of it being in Japan.

For one they’ve opened up the forums for FH6, they’ve teased and revealed the location + some details. And they said to expect gameplay in early 2026. Which basically aligns with Xbox’s typical dev direct at the end of January. And then all of this just to make us wait an extra year? That just can’t be.
I do understand the argument about it being the first time we see a teaser and not a full game reveal. But then If the game is going to release in Fall 2026, then why not announce FH6 at next year’s Tokyo Game Show? Like why announce it this year, if it’s going to take an extra year to develop anyway? As far as we would know, it all could’ve ended at the Xbox Showcase in June when it comes to announcements.
And no, i don’t think Phil messed up. I think he mentioned “the next Forza” in the Xbox showcase because he knew people were expecting to hear from it. And at that point i suspect, they knew that the Tokyo Games Show is coming and that they would announce it there. His statement was coming more from the standpoint point of “We know you want to see FH6 and don’t worry, it is coming in 2026.” Him saying “2026” is not him messing up anything. Although it would be a different story if they kept saying “FH6 is coming” over and over again and for them to never commit to anything for a year.
It’s entirely possible they want to use the last couple of months until January to make sure the reveal is as polished as possible before actually making the commitment to give us a release date. And if they don’t, we might as well consider FH6 being a development mess similar to FM, given the new forzatech engine.

I am going for back end of next year around November ready for Christmas. Early 2026 seems way too early.
I expect there will be the usual “Lets Go” teasers showing off the music and sneaky bits of the locations over the next 6 months or so.
I agree.. Them using TGS as an avenue for FH6’s reveal didn’t work. Would’ve been a whole other deal if they had a proper trailer to show off, including a release date. And no playstation announcement in sight. How else are they supposed to win over that market? I was convinced they’d use their platform to monetize off from the momentum over Horizon 5. Nope. And now they’re in between the hammer and the anvil situation with GTA6, made 2 announcements so far and they’re about to have a third one in January. And there is a chance they won’t do a follow up after it. They’ve shot 2 out of their 3 bullets thus far. I’m not saying Horizon 6 will be failure but it’s clearly not 2021 anymore. And as far i can see, looking at past announcements, the way that the current situation has developed, it doesn’t boast the same amounts of confidence as it used to.

Holiday 2026 is my prediction. Far enough away from GTA 6 and just in time for The Holidays.
