We won’t be able to explain specifics, as licensing relationships and agreements are confidential, but there are a variety of reasons any particular model is finalized for the game or not. Just keep using the Car Wish Lists thread and we’ll incorporate the feedback into the overall process.

I feel like announcing a car list like this with so many major manufacturers missing just creates anxiety for fans more than anything else.

I agree.
Probably many of the brands that are not currently on the car list are brands that will be adding some kind of new car and they are deliberately keeping it under wraps in order to announce it in a big way on twitter or streaming.
However, Forza has experienced the loss of a popular brand due to some kind of “licensing issue” in every title since FH3.
Of course, these were caused by a change in attitude on the part of the automakers, and not the fault of MS and T10/PG. But it is the experience that makes us players worried that we might lose our favorite brands again due to these problems.
I wish there was a better way to get rid of these fears while giving us a “surprise”.

I don’t know if you guys noticed, but during the Eliminator gameplay from the latest Let’s Go stream, I saw some players on-screen picking up a Bentley Bentayga and a Mini John Cooper X-Raid.
I know it’s a dev build, but it seems like Bentley and Mini are confirmed to be returning.
If you guys look at the pickup/elimination activity closely, I’m sure you’ll notice, too.

Could just be a speculative inclusion in the dev build. I always remember when people spotted Renaults in the dev footage of the first Forza Horizon but the brand never actually made it into the final release.

The list has been updated and Mazda’s car list has been announced.
We got the Mazdaspeed 3 back. However, the FB RX-7, RX-3 and Cosmo Sport have disappeared from the car list.
I’m surprised they forgot to add the DeLorean considering they spent half a stream talking about it lol.

Was happy to see Mazda’s added to the list as I knew they eventually would, but gotta say I was disappointed to not see the most neglected Mazda sports sedan still hasn’t made it into a Forza game (never been in Motorsport or Horizon). The stunning Mazdaspeed6 (Mazda6 MPS). Really hope it could finally enter a Forza game with FH5.

Aside from the mistake of claiming the Valhalla Concept would be using an AMG V8 (only the production model does, concept uses an AM V6) I’m very happy to see this car. Hopefully it has the correct engine in-game.
Still no word on the whereabouts of BMW? Feels weird to see it lacking in the list close to release.

The need for the GTR nismo is real, every game has it now
Although probably not on the launch car list, the GT-R Nismo will most likely be added to the game eventually.
A few months ago, a scan of this car by the T10 modeling team was posted on Instagram by the car dealer who helped them scan it.
We don’t know if it will be a DLC like car pass or expansion, or if it will be an exclusive content offered in playlist or something, but probably this car will appear in the game later.
I’m waiting for the McLaren 675LT since it came out like 6 years ago
