Sorry to say, but they will never make a bunch of very good, strong, powerful cars free. They made a similar mistake in Horizon 2. Everyone after a while got a free Huracan or two. Owning a Huracan was practically a badge of honor in online games, but then everyone owned it, the cover car, the car that people felt compelled to earn, and that ended the amazing car. It seemed worse, it was pointless in online games because everyone owns one, and it was a waste of time for P.G. because at that point, not a single person wanted a Huracan anymore.
For Forza Horizon 4 cars I would really like the 2016 Lamborghini Huracan Spyder with the roof coming down like the real one and another car I would like too see in Forza Horizon 4 is the 2018 Dodge Durango with the real sounds as the real car in the u.s.a like this one: 2018 Dodge Durango SRT Road Course Testing - YouTube. Click on that link or copy it so you know what I mean also add the 2010 GMC Sierra 2500 HD Duramax. That is my wish list to have in forza horizon 4 thank you if you add these 3 cars in the game. Also add the real sounds for the 2010 GMC Sierra 2500HD Duramax. And for the Lamborghini Huracan Spyder.
I personally think that FH4 should be along the west coast of the U.S.A
Drag strip. In FH3, it got annoy racing people over and over again on the same drag strip (airport.) Include baracades down the middle and a racing tree.
For 1, wheelie bars, but NOT for every car, only drag cars.
Not insanely OP cars, like the Dart Hemi.
Muscle, muscle, muscle cars!!!
Parking garages for drifting.
Make it so certain cars (like Ferrari) need SPECIFIC upgrades to go off-road. In FH3, off-road cars was a loose term.
Bigger sand dunes, plus paddle tires for cars.
Variations AI. How bought some trucks?
Rock music. Like AC/DC, Guns N Roses, Van Halen, and Mettalica
I“d love to have motorcycles on Horizon series. At least on a horizon spin-off as in Fast & Furious. And don“t do it if you guys can“t bring any customs.
I just started playing FH3 about 2 weeks ago, so Iām a bit late to the game. Mostly I am happy with FH3, but it still needs some improvements. Here are my suggestions, in no particular orderā¦
Better search menus for liveries and vinyl groups. Horizon series seems inconsistent with the way they organize their search menus. For liveries, I want to be able to look at the entire car, like in FH2, not just a small picture, so i can see if I really like the entire design. FH3 also dropped the ability to sort liveries by car, something that FH2 had, so Iām not sure why they disappeared. I would like to see that come back because it is annoying to scroll through 150 liveries just to find the first ones that i downloaded.
For vinyl groups, I hate being put back the beginning of the search when backing up, rather than just going to the previous view. This again is a feature that was in FH2, but dropped for FH3. Sometimes my search shows a hundred vinyl groups and once I download one, it sends me back to the beginning of the search to start all over. I HATE that, because it wastes my time and typing in search terms with the d-pad is just a pain, especially if you have to do it 30 times in a row.
Also for vinyls, please have the ability to make your groups locked or unlocked. There are times when I have made a really cool paint job, but in the end, was unable to share it because I used ONE locked vinyl group made by another person. Iām not suggesting being able to alter the vinyl group, just be able to re-share it in a complete livery. Please give people the ability to allow their vinyl groups to be re-used in other peopleās designs. By making a lock/unlock design feature, people who do not want to share donāt have to, but others can freely pass along their designs for other people to use.
Lastly about vinyl groupsā¦it would be nice to be able to zoom in on a design before you download it. Some of them are kind of small and a little preview window isnāt helping things.
Driver customizationā¦THANK YOU to FH3 for finally having female drivers available. Sorry, but not all gamers are guys, and Iām glad that Forza finally decided to give us options for drivers. That said, I would like to see even MORE options for our drivers. We can customize the heck out of our cars, but apparently thatās too much trouble for the driver. Many games have customizable characters, so itās not like this would be difficult to do. I want choice of gender, face shapes, skin tones, hairstyle (yes, please include something longer than shoulder length for girls), clothing options, accessories (hats, sunglasses, jewelry, etc). I know itās a racing game,. not the Sims, but a little bit of variety in how our driver looks can go a long way towards connecting the player to the game.
More variety in playground gamesā¦FH2 had three PG areas, two paved and one offroad. FH3 seems to be almost nothing but offroad PG areas. I would like to see a return of some paved areas so I can use some of my purpose built street cars for king and infected. FH2 PG areas were really fun, but I am not so impressed with FH3ās version. I would also like to see a return to FH2ās PG point system. The winner should be based on TIME only, not XP. It seems I can win a match but lose the session because someone managed to drift more or catch more air than I did. That doesnāt encourage being competitive. Oh, and PLEASE make sure people canāt jump out of the PG map. that was a huge problem in FH2, and I havenāt played FH3 online enough to see if it happens there as well.
Some new types of racingā¦since we have these big areas to drive around in, then why not have something more āroleplayā for those who want it. Have ādeliveryā races, where people compete for picking up and delivering supplies to local ābusinessesā. This would basically be a āsprintā type (point to point) race, with the added complexity of making stops along the way to pick things up (maybe even car parts).
A āhomeā location that is NOT a festival hub. Someone else mentioned this earlier in the thread, but I like the idea so i want to repeat it. FH3 had so many cool places and little homes, sheds, buildings to see, so why not let us pick one (or a few) to make into a home location where we can store our cars. It might even be cool to have an actual garage with maybe 15-20 cars of our choice on display.
I am sure I have more ideas, but I am tired of typing, so Iām done for now.
MODS:
Bring back more modification choices. It seems like after Forza 4 we lost a ton of visual options for some cars. Iāll use the S2000 as an example here. There was a load of visual options before (in Forza 4), now there are only the Forza options. Need for Speed is killing Forza in this aspect. We bought the game already so you dont have to advertise to us by having Forza only visual upgrades. Why can we not change the offset of wheels? Instead we are stuck with poorly fitted wheels that look terrible.
CARS:
Thin the herd. More is not always better. Get rid of cars that have no business racing. And for the love of all things cars, stop selling out to Porsche and Ferrari. We donāt want 40 different Porsches with Porsche specific achievements. I would be happier with 50-100 cars as long as you put mote effort in to others categories.
CAMPAIGN:
Give us a plot so we arenāt aimlessly racing just to unlock festival areas. Again take Need for Speed for example. Only reason I play Forza now is because of the physics, everything else about the game has ruined it for me.
This forum is for you all to post what you want I. FH4 and maybe even what you already know. Below is just a copy and paste of what I have typed on other posts.
Before I start typing this Iām gonna say that I know that this is a lot. But I wanted to get all my ideas on one form in one post. Here we go.
What about this: Forget everything that T10 thinks they know.
Try an airport.
What it is is you will get country options. Europe, America, Australia, Japan, places with good car culture. You can take a plane like you would when you go to an expansion in FH3. You would get options at the airport place, like they had in 3, and you can go anywhere, but they would be decent maps, like Horizon 2. Not massive, just large enough to satisfy players by each of the maps. This would be a fulfilling experience with Europe and Americaās road perfection, Australia for offroading, and Japan for the scenic routes.
Also, we would have Motorsport 7 amount of cars, which is in the 7 hundreds if Iām correct.
We could have in-depth story that has some plot.
Also, what if we took popular tracks and added them to the drive onto and race around aspect. Nurburgring: Go to Germany (I think correct me if Iām wrong) from the airport, go out on the road, drive up and start racing. Or, you could bring in the top gear test track which is oh so popular in FM games. Or, even, with Grand Tour participation, the Eboladrome, which would be actual chaos to drive on.
Finally, what about ANNA? SCRAP IT. Take the idea of ANNA and use the dpad as a dashboard for your car. You can do radio settings like station or even volume. You can set the GPS to the nearest this or that. And, what if we could take a Porsche 918, and let it just run on electric power, from that menu. Or, lets take the back off of a Sesto Elemento and expose its beautiful engine. Take our favorite GT car and pop the roof off. From the press of a couple direction buttons you could have a convertible back to a roofed car when it starts raining. Make it real. Add some in-depth launch control. Make it so you can murder tire tread before a drag race. Get some nice revs in that Alfa Romeo before you destroy your competition in a ten mile race. Turn on that blinker for some realistic driving, or set it so you have to activate your own wipers.
What would also be amazing is being able to customize your festivals. You could put a table with chairs, or a car showcase platform. Also, what you need is a massive parking lot thing in the FH4 version of Surfers. What it can be is a drive up event like a car show where you can drive around the parking lot, and, you can also swap cars there, and, while you are in that area, you can drive up to someone and press a button. What that can do is make it so you can drive that persons car around the parking lot until you leave.
I know none of this will really happen, but it is a really good image in my head.
With the game being released in about 6 weeks, I doubt any new feature requests will be added, but I have some additions anyway. First, I am beyond happy to see that at least two of the features I wanted are being included in FH4ā¦driver customization and player homes. Added to that though, I would like to see these as wellā¦
MORE WHEEL OPTIONSā¦one thing that has been lacking in previous FH series games are wheels with wide lips. So how about some more rims with deep offsets? I would love to see an assortment of classic musclecar wheels like Anson Sprints (US MAG, Indy, etc.) 5-slot jelly beans, Centerlines, 80ās era Enkeiās, American Racing Vectors, JDM rims like SSRās (SP1, Mk3, Formula Mesh, Longchamp, etc.), Work Meisters, Hayashi (Street CR, Sakura), RS Watanabe, and even some deep wire wheels like the stockers on the Ferrari Daytona. Also would be nice to have a wheel feature seen in Sumoās FH2 (xbox 360 version) where getting wider tires also increased the wheel lip depth. Currently, adding wider tires just adds to the back of the wheels, not the front, so flush wheels (high positive offset) still look flush even if they are 12 inches wide.
Convertible/targa version of all cars in the game that had topless/targa options, and the ability to toggle tops on and off, at least in the garage. Notable examples of this already being a feature in FH3 are the Holden HQ Sandman (removable shell), Ford Bronco and International Scout (both with removable hardtops). We have seen both hardtop and convertible options of some cars (like the Ferrari 458 Italia, convertible in FH1, hard top in FH2 & 3), but never both in the same game. We have 4 Mazda MX-5ās, but two are only converts and 2 are only hardtops. Why not have both options for all of them? A great example of all three styles would be the Ferrari F355ā¦berlinetta (solid roof), GTS (targa) and spyder (convertible). It would be great to have all three roof options in the garage. Since we now have the ability to customize our drivers, then why not give us the best feature to utilize that and actually get to see ourselves in the cars? I have a post in the car wishlist thread with a very long list of convertibles/targas that I wanted either added to FH4, or made available from existing cars that we already know will be there.
Not sure if this is still a feature, but in FH3, I really loved being able to make playlists of my own music through Groove. I know it has been replaced by Spotify, but I still want this ability. The radio stations are nice, but until someone makes a station with Goth Metal, Iād rather have my own, thank you.
Things to include in FH4
-Based in Japan
+Access to Wangan Expressways and
touge mountain passes
+Roads on all terrain (personally Iād like
to see some mountain road rally tracks
and NO guard rails) and roads with
elevation change (make those mountain
passes steep and narrow!)
-possibly add more tunnels maybe
please?
+Classic Japanese domestic market cars
(such as Toyota Starlet Turbo) in addition
to imports
+Just as Horizon 3 had focus on
Australian car culture (Holden vs Ford,
Utes and whatnot), place heavy focus on
Japanese car culture
-Added Customization
+More widebody kits from companies
such as RE Amemiya (especially for the
RX-7), Veilside, Amuse, Blitz, and Tomās
+Front and rear light customization
similar to Shutokou Battle ā03
+Independent over-fender customization
+Ability to widen carās stance
+Headlight and rear light colors
+Side mirrors
+Diffuser, splitter, and canard
customization
+Ability to remove a bumper or side
skirts (I wanna see that sexy HuracƔn
V10 after putting a twin turbo on it as
driveā¦I also want to see what
this could accomplish as far as
aesthetics go)
+Exhaust tip customization
+Brake disc customization
+Brake caliper customization and
coloration
+Ability to paint roll cage
+Tire smoke coloration
+Neon lights (underglow and wheel well
glow)
+More spoiler/wing options. Since itās
Japan, more large GT type spoilers for
drift vehicles or simple aesthetic
+The ability to remove the spoiler or wing
on ANY car with a stock spoiler or wing
+More deep dish rims
+Independent rim customization and
coloration
+Tyre customization
+Rim livery/stickers
+PLEASE DEAR GOD LET US PUT
VINYLS ON THE WINDOWS ALREADY
+Rims in a custom design downloaded
from the storefront should be able to be
painted
+IF POSSIBLE, professional app for
creating designs. If not for console, for
computer. It would be insane to put my
artwork from photoshop and illustrator
onto my car with ease
+Interior customization, such as
aftermarket steering wheels and racing
seats. Also possibly interior colors and
maaaaaybe lighting. Itās kinda weird to
drive a 240sx that has been modded to
hell but has a bone stock interior
-Game progression/difficulty progression
+Donāt go giving us a hypercar off the
bat, please. Not without some serious
grinding for cash
-Higher payouts for tunes and designs. As it stands now, only people who hold ranks of Elite and above are paid well for their designs and tunes.
-Fix PI system, get rid of AWD advantage, as well as engine and drivetrain swaps that would be impossible to carry out on the car itself
-Add snow as in-game weather (such as rain, fog, overcast)
-Add ability to blueprint own races via checkpoints anywhere on the map
-This is just a personal preference, but like in TDU, Iād like to see out the rear window of the car if Iām in first person and try to view behind me
-Add functional convertibles into the game, such as the Ferrari California with a retractable hard top
-Ability to manually turn off headlights, Ability to turn on blinkers (right, left, hazards)
-Realistic exhaust backfire, not backfiring in every car
-Bring back the ability to sell vehicles back to the autoshow. Nothing irritates me more than winning a car I donāt want and have duplicates of through wheelspins. I currently have five Ford Focus RSās and theyāre not really worth selling in the auction house so they just kinda sit there in my garage
-Police presence, preferably during street races and optional in free roam. Some miss the danger of NFS Most Wanted (myself included), yet others want to be able to cruise with their friends uninhibited. Perhaps an idea for a new game mode could be modeled by TDU2ās police system, in the way that in multiplayer, players can take part AS police to catch other players
-The ability to disable/enable traffic and AI presence during free roam. NOTHING is more agitating than trying to nail a drift record while dodging AI who seemingly aim to hit you, or weaving through tight corners to nail that speed trap, only to be stopped by a car on the inside of a blind corner
-Improve upon the engine/exhaust noises
-Keep Porsche in game or as DLC. Gotta have RWB if youāre in Japan. DO NOT fall back on this for an expansion
-Keep Avatars, possibly add in a bit of customization to them
-Keep similar functions of the game, off-road ability, physics, premise
-Keep the ability to stream through Microsoft Groove (PLEASE)
-Keep level up wheelspin rewards
-STOP INCREASING THE TIME LIMIT ONCE A BID HAS BEEN PLACED IN AN AUCTION. Increasing the time limit after each bid allows the players who have the most money to win EVERY TIME, therefore eliminating any strategy when bidding on a vehicle. This is incredibly frustrating as a new player trying to get a decent price on a nice vehicle, because getting into a bidding war with another player means that the player with more cash always wins. Inputting your bid at the very last moment no longer means anything when the time is increased
My reasoning for basing FH4 in Japan is simple; beautiful, windy mountain roads, absolute concrete jungle, and intense, blistering speed on the expressways. People are saying places such as Dubai or Los Angelesā¦personally, among Red Rock in Horizon 1, the Outback in Horizon 3, and living in one, Iām pretty dang sick of deserts, and do not care to see them in the next game. This does NOT mean I donāt want off road racing. This just means I donāt want be surrounded by drab brown and dead plants on half the map. Japan has the opportunity for major expressways, a serious concrete jungle, industrial districts such as shipyards, and tight winding mountain roads. All things that previous Forza Horizons seriously lacked. Past reasoning for the physical terrain, Japan has, and has had, such an incredible car culture over the decades. If car culture is any sort of argument for the setting of the next Forza Horizon, Japan sits at the pole position.
While I agree with most of what youāve posted, I donāt with this. Itās mimicking how a real auction would work. Go and watch any real world car auction, they carry on the bids till no-one bids any more.
Hello. I love the series so far. It is absolutely amazing. You guys do a great job making the game look and feel good. Some things I would like to see however
I want to see more vehicle interaction. Turn signals with indicators on the interior
Headlight control, with proper indicators
Improved crash physics. This I want to see because I like the challenge of knowing that I have to control the car. And if not, a spectacular crash. I loved the work you did in this area in Forza Motorsport 5. Bring that back and put it in Horizon.
I would also like to see interior screens come to life. Like the screens for the onboard radio is always off. That (for me) ruins first person. If you could at least put something on those screens.
Basically I want to see more of the driving simulation that you guys are going for. Love your games. I hope to see this happen.
I agree with most of the suggestions here, especially engine noises. My biggest gripe with FH3 is the fact that most of the engines are exactly the same. This really bummed me out after watching the trailer and listening to the unique and realistic engine tones only to be disappointed in copy pasted engine noises. I understand that all STi s use the 2.5 liter boxer four, but from face-lift to face-lift, the exhaust setup also changed.
Another point regularly mentioned is the car list. Some, including myself think the car list should be shortened and cleaned of all the useless and unwanted cars. This doesnāt mean there isnāt room for new cars, but clean out some of the junk. Some cars that I would like in the game include all Factory Five Racing models and the Bug-eyed WRX. Another benefit to shortening the car list is the ability to let the devs focus on other aspects of the game such as the map or, as previously mentioned, sounds.
The maps in Horizon have been some of the best in open world gaming but I feel like it has become more quantity than quality. There are many beautiful vistas to be found in FH3 but they are few and far between. Another aspect of the truly open world that I dislike is the openness itself. There is no incentive to stay on the road, as the grass or dirt doesnāt punish drivers for corner cutting. Whats the point of building a dedicated track car is you are going to be in the dirt half the race. I would like too see off road driving characteristics changed, or guardrails added to race events.
One addition that may be unpopular to the masses but on my wishlist is a story. I would not count FH3s āstoryā as a story. The player had so much control that it is possible to play the entire game without leaving the starter car. I would want to see races that you have to have a certain car or type of car to compete. (ie, FWD, RWD, European Cars, Sedans, etc.) I realize that you can āblueprintā these types races, but I would much rather the game force me into those cars. I donāt care if it has to be the cliched rags to riches story, I just want to be immersed in the world as previous games have done.
One final addition to the game that would be icing on the cake would be VR. Its not for everybody, but it would make the entire experience that much better if it could truly put you behind the wheel.
I may be a little late to the suggestions, but there is still almost a year left in the dev cycle. Lets make FH4 great.
