I remember this from FM2 and was sad that it was removed. Such a simple thing but would be great to bring back.
Yes, yes and double yes. I agree with everything you are saying. The '69 Charger happens to be my favourite car of all time, and this customizations would make it even better.
I do have to say, as well as all these cars, we need new modifications for the cars as well. In FH3, most cars only had the option to add a rear spoiler, a front splitter and, on occasion, customisations for the hoods as well. But, I think we need more than that.
For instance, there are many players out there who want the option to debadge their cars, which I think is a good decision, since it would ruin an otherwise awesome livery. Maybe add exhaust customisation as well, so it would change how you hear the engine noise, like for instance, one exhaust makes the engine louder, another gives it a sort of growling sound, all that stuff.
Me, on the other hand? I just want the ability to change the front and rear bumpers of the 1969 Dodge Charger, so I can make it resemble itâs counterparts, namely the 1968 Charger, and the 1970 Charger.
Fans of this car will recognise that the '68 Charger starred in Bullitt, and Fate of the Furious, while the '70 Charger was the car owned by Dominic Toretto from the Fast and Furious franchise.
My idea for a drift mode from another thread:
âA tandem drift mode would probably end up 90% griefing and crashing. Just an idea off the top of my head, they could do an 8 person tournament bracket, each person gets one run down a drift zone, single elimination. You have a starting area where each persons car is placed in the que and ready to go when its there turn with enough space to build a speed before the drift zone. Set a time limit, say 30 seconds, to prevent trolls from holding up and ruining the match. Each drift zone has a set of Horizon stands/bleachers you can watch the action from, or follow camera of the current driver. Hopefully this would move quickly enough so people can enjoy watching the action, participating, but be able to stick with the same group of friends and not wait too long if they get knocked out round 1. Obviously 1st/2nd/3rd should get the most credits/xp but there should also be a base participation reward to encourage people to stick with the group and not feel like they are wasting their time if they lose.â
Iâm not super drift fan but I think this could be a legitimate solution for people requesting some form of competitive drifting that rewards competition while still being fast, fun, and friendly.
I want a DLNA radio station so that I can play my own music.
A few basic but would be cool things.
-Ability to turn on and off headlights even at night time.
-Daytime running lights (on the cars that have them in real life)
-Turn signals
-Brake light and headlight tint
-Ability to put our cars in groups like in Forza Motorsport 4
-TOYOTA
Hey guys, Ive got a suggestion idea, I would love if forza gives us in their next game an option to modify seats and steering wheels from stock to sport version, to make the car look more sporty. In addition to widebody kits, it would be more awesome if they add this option too. What do you think about this idea ?
I forgot what my other idea was but have remembered now, I think a great idea for creating blueprint races would be to give us the possibility to place our own props, I cam eup with this idea because I loved the run down the mountain on Blizzard Mountain with the Ford Focus RS RX with that big jump down to the frozen river, I think it would be fantastic to edit our own races with props.
Garage and free walk with cars inside . .
I mean many peoples want garage where they can park cars and walk between them . Send invitation to garage to friends . Photo with them and things like this . Please Playground Games say we got this .
GOD DAMN TURN SIGNALS.
All i gotta say is
Slamming cars

Offer an option to eliminate traffic. This is one of those things that, if nothing else, makes the inclusion of top-end Hypercars a complete joke. âOkay I got my 270 Mph rolling rocketâŚnow letâs see if I can go more than 5 seconds without wiping out a family of six!â
-
Seriously, sort out the traffic thing. Did no one at all in QA mention that this may be a bit of an annoyance to players?
-
On another topicâŚanother problem with the traffic is that it also makes a joke of the speed traps and danger signs. Iâve lost track of how many attempts were blown by a car that got spawned right in front of me - resulting in a head-on collision just before I hit the mark.
- Get rid of the backfire every time I let off of the throttle. Or let me turn it on/off as an option.
- More realistic sounding V8 engines. Please.
This is what a V8 should sound like:
Every v8 has different sounds, depending on cams, block, headers and crank design. Google Aston Martin V8 and it wonât sound like that. Or a higher pitched V8 like a Ferrari 355.
Youâll buy the game regardless and you know it.
itâs probably not the Forza styleâŚ, but an In-Game Clock on the Map Screen, or above/below the Mini Map would be Highly Appreciated, especially for games with Day/Night Cycles that we wonât have any control over⌠even cooler would be to add weather âforecastsâ over the Radio (Latter Part not as important though) & Speaking of Mini Map, it would be cool if we could toggle an Expanded View (i found myself trying to do that quite a number of times in FH3, forgetting the function does not exist)
Not exactly on topic, but is this outing finally going to be the Testdrive Unlimited replacement Ive been looking for? Looking on YT it looks like theyre finally adding in features that game had in the 360.
Quoting this from another post locked because it shouldâve been here apparently:
Here are some things that i say need improvement from FH3, i want to see what you guys think.
Grinding
I hope there is no FH4 version of the goliath in which the best way to get money is to spend hours upon hours farming it. In FH3 the most common way to get millions of credits was from 6 lap+ goliath races that took nearly a hour each. This is completely unacceptable and boring.
Too Much Money
The value of a ferrari or lamborghini was nearly worthless in FH3. Getting 10,000 - 20,000 per average race meant you could skip 60%-75% of the cars and go straight to buying a quarter million dollar supercar within a couple hours or one day of ownership, which means lots of cars are fairly worthless. This is also why the auction house is clogged up with supercars selling at half value. Make it so owning a bugatti meant your in the top elite of players who is seriously rich. Make owning a Ferrari means your mid or nearing late game. Make a use for all the nearly 75% of cars in the auto show no one uses in FH3. The YouTubers who get all excited for there wide body kit cheap BMWâs are truly a minority in this case. Give value to these good looking cars.
Then there is the elite painters, who use that status to buy and sell mazda RX7âs for 10 million each. After a couple days of doing this, it is left some with upwards of a billion in credits. For elite status people, money is way to easy to get.
I know its a arcade game, but giving everyone the ability to get super cars with ease ruins the whole value of them.
Auction House
As i just said, its a easy goldmine for any elite status.
The auction house has lost its purpose. In real life buying and selling cars for a 10,000 profit would be nice. In FH3 for mostly all players that is junk change and a waste of time. Juts go do a 5 minute race for the same amount.
Going into the autoshow i constantly see supercars selling at half or the lowest possible bid just to get rid of them. Supply and demand, if everyone finds it easy to own a supercar, the value quickly dwindles. Its the reason the auction house takes a little while to unlock, because every new player within a couple of races could easily flock there and get mid game cars for quarter price.
It is also filled with people trying to get rid of the barn finds, forzathon cars that have been reused for the third time, and mostly unsold cars.
They should display the average auction house price under the autoshow price. You would be surprised just how worthless most cars are.
Car Packs
Can we please not have this in FH3? these quickly ruin the value of cars, and the auction house usually gets flooded with them. In most of the car packs i see its only 1 or two of the cars that actually sells it, the rest is just filler because its cheap licensing.
Online Racing
How terribly this was made.
First on online free roam only a quarter or less of people actually joins the races it and it is mostly just a select few amount of races people do (Mostly drag strip). This is considering most of the races are repetitive and are quickly boring.
Then you have Online Adventure.
Ramming, terrible classes and races. Let us make a super car class championship and have 50% of the races be offroad because thatâs fun? (it is annoying). Lets totally exclude hypercars, not even create their own special group/ championship (sarcasm).
Own the car to paint it
Tired of people just going around and spamming there designs on every car. Can it be a must own to design on?
Also there is a very easy way to copy peopleâs designs, which i wonât share here (mods can PM me about it). I have never used it (im a moral person), but it is a serious issue.
Forzathon
Very early in FH3, the Lykan hypersport (3.4 million) quickly and its value ruined when it came apart of a forzathon. It seems the team behind Forza just doesnât care about the community sometimes. See a 8 million dollar Horizon Edition Lambo? Cool, let us put it in a forzathon to ruin its value, waste peoples millions in investments, and cause more unbalance in the auction house.
The Porsche 918 Spyder had a 11 - 14 million credit value as it was rare and well wanted. It was collectable and was the main buzz, teh car to get, it had a lot of attention and made you look cool. Turn 10 saw this, immittally put it in a 5 day forzathon to quickly ruin its value and have it spammed over the auction house and online freeroam for a couple months. Lost 11 million on that one too.
I sometime see snowflakes on these forums in which they complain to Turn 10 and in return itâs in a forzathon with a completely ruined value.
Good job ruining the auction house Forza. No care for supply and demand.
I have seen people who seriously think every car should be free.
It also seems like forzathon is a mid game crisis. Trying to keep players interested with cheap prizes and reused cars. You can only use the same cars so much before there less valuable than the time to put them up on the auction house.
QnA
'If you donât like the game, donât play it"
I like Forza, just need improvement.
âI play and its hard to get a hypercar, i donât own much of any expensive carsâ
Please if your a collage student or a middle aged man with a full time job or anyone who doesnât play much, donât say iâm wrong because you yourself donât own a bugatti or any hypercars. Any avid gamer or someone who is smart enough to successfully play the auction house finds money very easy to come by.
âIt is just a arcade game, not about reaslim, its about having funâ
Having online freeroam be small variety of just mostly aventadors, ferrari 458âs, dodge darts, or drift cars makes the game dull. Make people work for those cars, use the 75% of the cars mostly no one uses. Work your way up.
Ok, here is what I thinkâŚI will disagree with you on every point you make here.
Grinding credits/xpâŚI personally donât do this, but it doesnât bother me at all if other people do. Gamers are a creative bunch (sometimes), and no matter what you do, they will always find ways to get credits and xp faster than normal. If you donât like having that ability, then donât take advantage of itâŚproblem solved.
âToo much moneyââŚthe key problem with your argument is in one wordâŚâeliteâ. Elite status should have nothing to do with the money you have or the cars you own. It should be based on driver skill, period. Lack of that skill, however, should not be a reason to deny people access to the more advanced (and expensive) cars. Regardless of value, people buy and drive what they want, just like in real life. Honestly, Iâm not sure what it is that you are whinging about here.
âAuction houseââŚwhy are you so concerned about what value other people give to their cars? âValueâ is a function of the market, and if people want to buy and sell cars at 20 mil (or more) each, then that is their business. Personally, I do agree that some values are over inflated, but as long as there are people willing to spend 60 mil on a Porsche 914, then sellers will always be demanding those prices. Thatâs how the market works. Is it realistic? no, but to do any different means that someone at Turn10 has to monitor auction prices and set limits.
Car packsâŚthere you go about âvalueâ again. While it might be true that most car packs are âsoldâ based on the inclusion of a specific car, there will always be people who buy them for the other cars as well. let the players decide if they want them. If you donât, then donât buy.
Online racingâŚI often join online freeroam just to cruise around with other players, not specifically to race. Drag racing at the airport isnât the only place that players hang out atâŚyou also have the parking lot up at Surferâs Paradise for the drifters, the freeway run, short drag at the RR bridge at Yarra Valley, rock crawling at various locations, roundabout drifting, having people chase you all over the map. Again, people do what they want to do, and seeing how many people still log into online freeroam, it seems that most donât have the issues with it that you do.
âOwn the car to paint itââŚI am pretty sure that is already the case. I know that a design made for a specific car will not work on another, and in order to share a specific car design, they have to own that car just to make a design for it in the first place. For different cars with the same overall design, I think the painters might be relying on vinyl groups to quickly add designs to specific cars.
ForzathonâŚI for one like rare cars being available on Forzathon. I started playing FH3 nearly a year after itâs release, so I missed out on quite a few of the launch features. Having some of those more âexclusiveâ cars as Forzathon prizes at least allowed me to make up for missing the start of the game. As far as âvalueâ goes, that only matters to people on the auction house.
âQ&AââŚkeep in mind that Turn10 has a huge job to do, and that is create content that will make the largest number of players happy. That means that there will always be someone who isnât happy about one feature being includes, or upset that another feature wasnât added. No game is perfect and no game will make 100% of all players happy 100% of the time. Thatâs just the nature of gaming.
The one thing about the Horizon series that always attracted me was how much freedom you have to do what you want when compared to other race games. Iâve played GT on the Playstation, more than a few NFS games, some other odd titles, and Forza Motorsport 1-5. I have decided that I much prefer the open world format that Horizon provides. I do like track racing, but I also like exploring what is between the tracks out in the world. From what I have seen so far, FH4 has expanded our options even more, so I am very much looking forward to it.
Last thingâŚit is one thing to want the game to have certain features, but something entirely different to impose your personal gameplay philosophy onto other people. If you want to âwork for itâ, then feel free to do so. Feel free to drive the slowest and ugliest cars and âworkâ your way up to buying that Bugatti.
For me, though I like being able to buy a Ferrari 458 in the first week of racing.
