I was just wondering if anyone knows anything about the file/ install size of Forza Horizon 3? I wanted to know because i have a 500GB XBOX ONE and I might need to clear some space out for it.
I had a look at the size of previous Forza titles and they are fairly small compared to games like Black Ops III.
Forza Horizon 2: 40GB (Approx) Forza Motorsport 6: 45GB (Approx)
I know that Forza Horizon 3 is much more graphically intense and has a much larger map, so I do’t expect it to be anywhere near the size of these games.
Seeing as they have an upward trend in size, I’d guess that FH3 will be around 55 GB total, perhaps 50 GB day one. I do have all the DLC for the games as well, save for the second FnF pack for FH2.
If you’re looking for an External HDD, I got one recently, and it’s pretty good so far. I have a combined total of 31 games on my internal HDD and external HDD, and while the internal is entirely used up, I still have 1.2 TB out of 2 TB free space on the external. I have a 2TB Western Digital My Passport Ultra. Really good to me so far, very easy to adapt to the Xbox. Only mild complaint I have is the constantly blinking white light when my Xbox is off. On the bright side, it lets me know it still works!
And talking about large game sizes…ha…don’t buy Halo 5 then! 81.2 GB!
Xbox One games are stored on Blu-Ray discs, which hold a maximum of 50 GB. So unless they do like Forza 3 and 4 and add an extra disc for content (highly unlikely), expect no more than 50 GB for the game and then expect additional GB for the DLC and patches.
I think it mght get quite near to 60GB. Take into account Horizon 2, Horizon 3 is more graphically advanced, it has a map twice the size of Horizon 2, It has almost twice the cars (Correct me if I am wrong, but i believe Horizon 2 had 200+ car initially), and it also has a ton of new features.
They need to give the install size out soon or people who pre-ordered ultimate edition are going to be sorely disappointed when they can’t play their game early because they spent all their money on the game so that they don’t have enough money for a hard drive and don’t have enough space for the game. They might also not want to delete any games because they play them regularly…
My pre-install was around 46gb if I remember correctly, so that is the base, you start adding in cars, who knows. I guess it will all depend on how many cars you download.
