I have a problem with achievements in Forza Horizon 3.
First some explanation.
When I bought that game everything worked just fine. I got achievements and everything, even got one car in Forzathon.
It works fine around 2 weeks after i bought this game.
However something just got mesed up because now i can’t get access to achievements through game (but i can get access through Xbox app), moreover after some tests i figured out that achievements are not working anymore (no progres visible, example is that i spend over half an hour doing jumps for Forzathon challenge to get Bentley Continental or did over 5 races in co-op to get 90000 CR and nothing, older completed achievements are visible but cant finish them).
I checked connection in xbox app and i found that NAT is medium available, but server conection is blocked (maybe that makes achievements unavailable in game), However it is still possible to play online.
I also know that Forza servers had some issues form 24.11.2017 to 25.11.2017.
I tried everything and got no solution.
If someone can help or have similar problem please answer.
I’m having the same issue. Bought the game on Black Friday and achievements weren’t working right off the bat. I’ve reset my progress a few times after changing settings and such on my PC. Today in the morning after a reset, I was able to unlock the first bunch of easy achievements (open first festival, etc). Now, I can’t get any again. Purchased my first car, opened the Outback Festival, unlocked 4 radio stations, and things along those lines and I never got the achievements for them. My “cars owned”, “fans earned” and “XP earned” are all the same values that they were this morning and haven’t updated.
I’m assuming this is a server issue on their end because my PC settings are fine. I have Telemetry enabled, and I know for a fact that I don’t have any privacy programs blocking achievements because I was able to get achievements this morning, and I tested a few achievements on Microsoft Jigsaw during the time period that I couldn’t get any in Horizon 3, and they unlocked perfectly fine.
From what you said it appears that achievements problems are connected with servers problems.
Everything worked just fine until 23.11.2017 when I noticed that I could not get Bentley from Forzathon (spend over 1 hour jumping in GT car like idiot and nothing), and then in 24.11.2017 could not get access to any online feature (auction house was unavailable and no driveatars were on the road)
Tried all possible solutions to make everything work again (refreshing Connected User telemetry services in windows, reinstalling the game, spend some time on forums and nothing)
After visiting this site Forza Horizon 3 server maintenance, Apr 2023 | Product Reviews I realised that it is problems with server maitenance but when they bring back connection in 25.11.2017 I thought that all will work fine but not, however my friends on Forza could get achievements from Forzathon (for example 90000 Cr for race in co-op).
Despite the fact that Forza is a wonderful game, there is too many online features problems that spoil the game. That’s the pity.
Hope that it will be fixed soon or achievements start to work properly after time.
Playing Forza today and found out that everything is working just fine now.
All achievements got updated to its good level and progress is visible now.
Only drawback is that i didnt recieved any reward from previous Forzathon (no Bentley and 90000 CR, gotta be fast in upcoming one).
It’s still not working for me. Maybe it’ll just randomly start working as I play it. I’m just wondering, when they started working, did the past achievements you completed unlock? I’m asking because there are several achievements (like opening the Outback festival, unlocking 4 radio stations, etc) that I’ve already done, but the achievements never unlocked for them. I don’t want to keep playing and get farther if I’m going to have to reset my progress to get the earlier achievements.
When I played the game 01.12.2017 achievements started working again, so I was able to complete all Forzathon events and unlock some of the Horizon achievements (like take part in 5 skill songs).
But then after about 1 hour of playing achievements again got corrupted (noticed that after buying all skills but not getting achievement for that and being unable to open achievement list from game).
More mysterious is that, achievements for Blizzard moutain work just fine, but for normal Horizon again doesn’ t count progress.
So my achievements are fully functional now. I manually updated Windows with the Creator’s Update on their site. After doing that, I went to apps and features and reset data on the Xbox App, Windows Store and Forza (not sure if Forza was necessary). Didn’t work at first. Started the game up the next day and my stats were being tracked accurately in the achievements tab, and achievements started unlocking. I tried every solution I came across with no luck. This managed to fix the issue for me thankfully. Unlocked that WRX by doing the Forzathon challenges, and all achievements are being tracked and unlocking properly now.
After some time I realised that achievements started to work properly.
But only drawback is that some of them didnt updated properly (like “I want it all” has stopped on 89% although i unlocked all skills).
Thankfully Forzathon events are working again and that is the good thing.
Hope there will not be any problems again.
