Don’t you think Football/Soccer was fun?
The game was featured in Forza 4 but not in Forza 5 anymore for some reason.
Don’t any of you guys want Football/Soccer in Forza anymore? If not, why?

No, if i want to play football il put fifa on.
you put fifa on ill be old fashioned and go to the park and get some excersize in the process
No. It’s a silly idea to start with, and there’s already proper soccer games.
I, along with my club and a bunch of people I play soccer with on Forza 4 have already voiced our support/request on the official wishlist forum. That said, I hope this doesn’t turn into a wishlist and get locked.
I will say soccer was one of the most fun things about Forza 4. It’s more than the sum of its parts, its not just FIFA with cars or demolition derby with a soccer ball thrown in. There are a bunch of variables at play and a whole host of skills required to be a good player. The car matters, the upgrades matter, the tune matters, the way you drive matters, how you play matters, and this all varies based on the choices your opponents make. There are also a bunch of other variables in the user created lobbies like, small or large map, ghosting (while in goal) on or off, number of players 2-16 (can even have uneven teams), team colors on or off, car class (can be any not just B) etc… This is in addition to all the regular restrictions like weight, hp, PI, drive type (RWD, AWD…). That said there is one thing that everyone should know about soccer on Forza 4,
There are no leaderboard cars in soccer.
Pick any car you want, get the best tune you can and I’ll show you a car that can exploit that cars weaknesses. The same goes for the way you play and the tactics your team use, there is no perfect game plan. And even if you think you have the other team figured out everything changes when someone picks a new car or someone joins/leaves/switches teams.
Tuning is important too, it combines aspects of circuit racing, drifting, drag racing, and some things that are unique to soccer. Changing the way you tune requires you to change the way you drive the car. The same car can be tuned for speed, agility, pushing ability, or a mix of all three and will require a totally different driving style and strategy.
This doesn’t even scratch the surface of what’s at play in soccer. Don’t believe me, go check out the replays I just uploaded, they all came from the same match (and if you want theres 400 more). Or better yet, go find a user created lobby with some GO4L members in it, theres bound to be one or two lobbies at night, and you’ll see what I’m talking about.
btw, that’s a great write-up , driver who.
yes i do miss it, thats why ive posted in the wishlist like a thousand times.
and i agree with driver who, well said.
the “fun factor” of forza soccer is off the chart, ironically soccer itself does not really interest me.
I’d love to have it back. A number of my XBL friends aren’t hardcore racing fans, and getting them into multiplayer is difficult to say the least. In 4, with a good set of playground type games (tag, cat & mouse, and especially car soccer), it got them into playing the game.
And if you’ve never played 2v2 car soccer with one Mini and one Hummer per team, well, you’re missing out on some of the most hilarious moments ever in a Forza game.
Over the last 6 months I’ve played more car soccer than i have circuit racing. For a hardcore racer like me, i could never have imagined this. It’s not “a silly idea” but actually very competitive with a huge depth of skill. It seems highly unlikely that soccer will be coming to FM5 otherwise surely it would have arrived by now. Will it ever come back to the FM series? I don’t know if there’s enough support for it, which is a shame.
Completely agree with Driver Who and the other soccer supporters. It is a shame that hardcore racers simply write off soccer and don’t see the fun, skills and friendships that are provided in a playground game like this. Tuning and car choices are key to being a good player and having some fun along the way. After all, it was actually done on Top Gear and I think it was great that T10 included it in FM4. With the heavy influence from Top Gear once again in FM5, I agree that it should be included, along with Cat and Mouse if possible. As Driver Who said, check out the nightly matches in FM4 and test your skills against some of the best players in the game. You might get hooked as others have!
Thanks, Rescue
Car soccer was some of the most fun I’ve had playing a video game, ever. My 360 died right before I got the One or I would be back on FM4 playing soccer with you guys again. I’ve contemplated buying another 360 just so I could play car soccer again.
Driver Who, you summed it up very nicely sir.
I will add that my preference was always 1.2mi field, open class and no ghosting in the goal.
The B class hopper lobbies were not nearly as fun.
I would love for soccer to come back had lots of late nights playing with tons of friends! Would be great to see it come to the new console hell even if it was a hard copy of the old one!
Add to my recent post Forza 5 just does not feel the same with out soccer… You have a raptor and Suv’s but no soccer… They need a place to use weight and size!
I do miss it. It was not something I played every time I got on. Some nights the group just really couldn’t decide what we wanted to do. We would play Soccer and have a blast. It would be nice to have it back.
Yes I totally agree forza 5 needs soccer. I still playing forza 4 and was hoping they would of added soccer by now very disappointing because I am going to be running the xbox one very soon. Can’t wait to get my hands on it. Been spending to much on my car. Don’t ask lol
Rocket League is coming out this month on XB1 I hope to see some car soccer players on there. Your loss Turn 10!
Since Forza 6 and now Forza Horizon 3 are both devoid of Car Soccer, it seems that Turn10 has made it clear that they don’t care about the awesome Car Soccer game mode or the tight-knit, diehard community of avid Car Soccer enthusiasts who still desperately miss playing it. Unfortunately, as cool as Rocket League is, it’s simply not anywhere near what Car Soccer was for the community of hardcore fans that played it so religiously. The next Forza game release is still at least a year away, and I’d bet we won’t see a triumphant return of Car Soccer in it, either.
I would personally buy a completely separate add-on/upgrade/whole game from Turn10, just to play FM Car Soccer, but I highly doubt we’ll ever see it again, at this point.
RIP Forza Motorsport Car Soccer – we hardly knew ye.
