Forza 6 Apex after updating Windows creators update appeared stuttering

Hi everyone I ask you a big help, after having updated windows 10 creators, in Force 6 Apex has appeared very stuttering to make it unplayable. I also bought the dlc hoping to solve the problem of stuttering but unfortunately nothing. Even if you lower the graphics filters to a minimum, the problem is not resolved. After updating windows, all the other titles have not changed, only Force 6 is much worse … It needs your intervention. Thank you all

CPU I7 6700K
Asus z170 pro gaming
16 GB RAM DDR 4
Nvidia GTX 1080
SSD 850 EVO 500 GB
Asus Essence STX II
Thrustmaster Tx Rw Steering Wheel, Leather Edition - Xbox One / PC

Etc etc

Similar situation where Apex no longer runs correctly. As you report there is now stuttering and hitching regardless of graphics settings. After extensive testing I can offer no solution nor workaround.

In addition, after exiting the game Nvidia Control Panel may show corrupted text with missing window content (e.g. System Information in the Help menu only draws the window border. The content behind the window is still visible).

Furthermore ForzaMotorsportApex.exe has crashed twice. Event viewer lists the exception code as 0xc0000005.

I too have terrible stuttering in APEX.

Frame rate can be as High as 200fps then it bombs to 14fps.

Got the latest Nvidia drivers, and latest version of windows 10 pro 64bit.

specs are:-
i7 6700K water cooled and running at 4.7 ghz
16 gb DDR4 clocked to 3000mhz
GTX 1080 Ti running stock
Predator 1440p g-sync 144hz monitor.

Other windows games work fine e.g. Forza 3 horizon.

Is it they just can’t be arsed keeping this game up to date as drivers etc change?

EDIT… Found a solution, well for me anyway. YouTube is your friend.
LAG / STUTTER FIX Forza Motorsport 6 Apex (Beta) PC Max Setting's 1440p GTX 1070 - YouTube
I set priority to High not realtime, but it worked wonders.
Playing the game MAXED out and at 5120 x 2880 DSR
getting 80 to 95 fps solid. prior to changing the setting it started at this and dropped to 15 fps after about one lap.

My stuttering and hitching is resolved. The cause is unrelated to the Windows 10 Creator’s Update.

A while ago I fixed a long-overlooked issue with GPU throttling by installing MSI Afterburner and adding a custom fan profile (with an update period of 5000 ms). At the same time I started monitoring 20+ hardware resources at a polling period of 1000 ms.

I have now disabled the low-level IO driver and am only actively monitoring two hardware resources (GPU power and temperature) at a polling rate of 5000 ms. Polling 100+ resources in 5 seconds instead of two resources in 5 seconds is a factor of 50. In making these changes I have eliminated close to two orders of magnitude in monitoring overhead.

Forza Motorsport 6: Apex is exceptionally sensitive to resource monitoring overhead. Heed this warning from one of the MSI Afterburner tooltips: “Avoid activating unnecessary graphs, it will increase CPU time required to poll hardware and may decrease system performance.”

I’ve sent a feedback to Microsoft through Feedback Hub and that’s what’s in their respond:

“Thank you everyone for providing feedback and submitting traces. We have been analyzing the traces from your feedback and have identified several different problem sources surfacing as stutter in games. We have a fix for one of them in the Windows Insider build that flighted to the “Fast” ring (build 16273 and above). You can find instructions on joining the Windows 10 Insider Program here: The Windows Insider Program. We are actively investigating the remaining stutter causes and appreciate your patience on this issue.”

So probably Creators Update has big stutter issue with many games (but not all) and they have some fix in Fall Creators Update which will appear soon (October 17th).

Good to hear… I didn’t have any issues with it when I first kicked its tires but gearing up for FM7 has me back in it trying to get another Forza Hub level and I’ve certainly had issues the last couple of days. Yesterday I turned the corner and had no road a few times. lol
