Yeah, it’s clear that debuting in new markets during the Free for Gold promotion hasn’t worked out. Your frustration is understandable.
However, to assume that problems occurring under exceptional circumstances are representative of a typical F5 experience is to make a huge error.
How many of you perform your jobs flawlessly? Haven’t any of you ever made a mistake? You can argue that this is different because of the scale of the mistake, but if that’s true, then you’re probably unqualified to be making harsh judgments. This is way more complex than screwing up somebody’s Happy Meal.
When you acquire the skills to produce something as amazing as F5, and when you acquire the skills to conceive, implement, and manage something as complex as XBL, then come back and leave a few scathing replies. Until then, you might consider the possibility that there isn’t a magic Fix-It button to press when things go wrong, and that people are working hard on the problem.

It could be worse I remember that nasty night not so long ago when the glitch sent from the master glitch maker meant we were unable to even sign in and use our expensive bits of kit yet alone pretend to be mario-blundle-button-race mister the. 3rd
All the free bees will go away in the next few hours and service will be back to normal
I am also sure the nice peeps at turn ten will be so upset at the unfortunate incident they will give us a couple of car packs for free

I hope all the free users are so impressed with the free weekend they all rush out and buy fm5 although I would think most of them will be so frustrated with the whole incident they will twitch and spit when ever fm 5 is mentioned to them
So I would rate this radical drive to increase the fm 5 community as "a bit of a flop "

Only have myself to blame. $500 for a system I exchanged 2 times, (thanks GameStop, at least they saved me from shipping 2 brand new systems to MS for an undetermined amount of time so my brand new $500 unit could be serviced). Then the fact that there are no games available for it, so essentially I have a $500 web browsing tool. I own the only 2 games I like, one of which is Forza5. Like a moron however, I chose the highway robbery version and paid $80 for a game that’s got 50% of Forza 4’s content. And now, as if the spotty servers day to day were’nt enough, have not been able to play the whole weekend, because MS can’t maintain servers. Thank you

Look at the bright side! With the servers down, it’s possible that all of us who played career mode or even free play mode will have to sync our saves when the servers are available. And there’s no danger in that, right?

ive been getting that too it sucks i cant check the leaderboards or see my lap times aswell
As far as i can see, the leader boards are not down just slow, yet the rivals are unresponsive prompting that frustrating message “Service Temporarily Disabled”
We pay for the console,
We pay for the game,
We pay for the DLC,
We pay for the online service that is so lame.
It’s not too much to expect that we should have a trouble free experience for our money…Right?

Nothing but problems here in Aus, maybe it has something to do with the launch of that game “Destiny”. Maybe they are testing servers etc at MS in anticipation for the launch…I dunno.
It’s Sunday… Still no forza tv, gallery, or multiplayer
Think everyone should keep in mind that in addition to the ~3.5 million potential new Forza 5 players that may be trying to download the full game and also connect to the XBL service this weekend … XB1 is launching in 17 more countries this weekend as well. All those new gamers in those countries are also trying to download games and use XBL service for the first time this weekend.
I feel for everyone who’s not had the opportunity to play FM5 or take part in the challenges this weekend … but there are some legitimate reasons for what we’re experiencing.

really just when I had a chance to beat Phil at indy 39.283
I talked to a customer service representative at 2 pm (approximate) east coast time. I un-installed Forza 5 and have been re installing it since. He told me that none of the issues we have been experiencing are due to the free weekend. I would beg to differ, but what do I know.
I’m rather frustrated at this point. I’ve been having issues with the server for almost a week now and nothing seems to have improved. I am starting to consider dropping the money for a new play station and the recent grand turismo game. I’d rather not do that but it’s problems (unresolved at that) that make me wonder if a PS is a better choice. I seriously hope that we are compensated for this mess.
Knowing MS, we will be compensated well. T10 will release a new car pack of cars we got for free in Forza 4 and only charge us, loyal customers $9.99 for it. That’s what I call good compensation. Oh wait, maybe i’m being harsh, maybe next weekend they’ll give us PONG for free for being a 6yr Gold member! Let me thank you ahead of time MS, that would be swell.

i think its a wide spread xbox live issue i tried forza 5 and had the server down error so went on my 360 to play forza 4 and had a service alert matchmaking problem and i couldnt play any cod games online either
