I’d surely like to see the enabling by MS Xbox One the playing of Xbox 360 games namely especially Forza 4 - please!!! I heard that Forza 4 has a lot more to offer than Forza 5 in the type of play but certainly not the video aspect!
Xbox One uses completely different architecture than the Xbox 360. It will never be able to play Xbox 360 games without a re-write/port of the game. Unlikely to ever happen for most games.
Xbox One uses X86-64 architecture (like a PC), whereas the Xbox 360 used Powerpc.
While emulation is theoretically possible, the Xbox One already has so much overhead I don’t think it could possibly emulate the 360 on top of that.
Either way, Microsoft officially stated they will not be doing any backwards compatibility .
Plug you 360 hdmi into the hdmi input on the Xbox one. Select the tv option on the xbox dashboard and switch on your 360. You will need to use the 360 pad, but otherwise it should work fine. Dont use the snap feature though. This will cause major lag.
Backwards compatibility is very much there, you just need the old console!!
Other than that, no, you will not be able to play 360 games on the one.
So how is this different than just using the 360 directly? Seems like to me this is simply the 360 running through the one console… no different than simply a in-line connector.
Anyone try this?
If you do that what connection to the web are u using the one from the 360 ore from the one.
Wonder if there would be a differents .
