Technical question about Formula E in the game. That is cool they are adding those cars to the game, but will Forza 6 be modeling the energy usage in these cars? Both discharge and recharge with energy recovery (from deceleration)?
I suspect not but wanted to get the question out there just in case I might be pleasantly surprised.
I dunno, I really enjoyed the whistling kettle noise it made in 5! Interested to see so many variations in for 6, but it does make me wonder just how many really different cars we’re going to have … not that they can do much about that.
yes, they had electric cars before like the chevy volt. but its off by default online just like fuel usage for gasoline cars i suspect. i dont remember running out of fuel or ties in fm4 or 5 or ever needing to pit online. but if you enable fuel usage off line and drive far enough i’m sure you’ll run out of power just like gas.
The electric pencil sharpener with wheels was a lot of fun.
I look forward to trying out the various tea kettles, bug zappers and space heaters we’ll get in 6.
OT: fuel consumption is fuel consumption, whether it’s exploding dinosaurs, electrons, or dilithium crystals. I’m sure it’s modelled. Interesting point about the regenerative braking, we’ll have to wait and see if they went so far as to include that.
My question would be based more around the idea of KERS systems and the electrical motor boosts (like the IPAS system in the McLaren P1) to give the advantage out of corners.
Saying that, Project Cars has done it (and that game, let’s face it, isn’t all that brilliant), frankly I’d be a little disappointed if such a facility wasn’t there.
Considering Turn 10 is pushing this game out to be more realistic and more of a simulator, than it would be pretty poor if this wasn’t implemented. I believe there are enough buttons on the controller and the wheel for this, so I see nothing holding them back. It’s just a question an whether Turn 1 are willing to go the extra mile.
