F1 and Forza Motorsport 6

Hey guys! I have a few things I want to say so let’s just jump right in!

  1. Does Forza hold a license agreement with Lotus or FIA or another association to have the E21/E23 in FM5/FM6?
  2. Anyone else see the new F1 field?! Beautiful.
  3. I’m sure you can see where this is going; do you think T10 will add the F1 field to Forza Motorsport 6 later on?

I just want to hear your thoughts on this guys.

Mods-I don’t think this is a car wish list because I’m not saying we should have it in FM6, but more so just to get a conversation going. Move it if you please though.

Bluntly, no they won’t be adding the whole field of F1 cars. Not while Codies make an official F1 game, and probably not even if there wasn’t a proper F1 game anyway. Licensing cost for F1 is massive

I’m sure they have some kind of agreement with Lotus F1 team (now Renault) to have the E21 and E23 in the game, and that’s probably it in terms of modern F1 cars that you’ll see in the game. I wish listed that the Ferrari’s new SF16-H be added to the game, but I don’t think that will happen due to the fact that it takes team collaboration and probably more money to get another modern F1 car in the game and the reason that only one is included in each build. But fear not, all that collaborative work of working with the FIA and all of the F1 teams is done by Codemasters to bring us F1 2016 with all the new 2016 F1 cars and tracks to include the new Baku circuit, due out around the time we get a reveal of FH3. I play F1 2015 and highly recommend it in terms of experiencing what that very strict sport is all about. I really don’t think we’ll ever see another modern F1 car in the game outside of the Renault E23, unless T10 partners with another F1 team such as Ferrari to bring that car instead of the Renault into the game, and that’s possible. I know EA Sports did it with Ferrari and have the SF14-T in Real Racing 3. But look on the bright side, we have other F1 cars in the game from yesteryear and that’s cool enough for me. In the meantime, if you want to experience all the F1 cars and track of last year’s F1 season, get F1 2015 and race in all cars in circuits you’ll probably only ever see in Codemasters’ game such as Monaco and Marina Bay Street Circuit and Shanghai International Circuit – it’s all there in F1 2015!!!

I would geuss they can use the lotus because of the association with Microsoft (probably)

IIRC Renault still has a partnership with MS so this probably won’t be last car they add into a game either.
