First thing that comes to my mind is how ugly the front wing concept looks…
Besides that I think the described changes sound good and I’m interested to see the active aero working.
Who would have guessed that grid for Canada eh?
Rain tomorrow could be fun
Also Yuki signed for another year.
Word is that there is an option for DR as well but no sign of that being taken up yet.
This is embarrassing for Checo once again. I’m an RBR fan but I’m almost hoping they lose the WCC this year so they have no choice but to replace this guy. He has no business being in the best car on the grid. That’s two races in a row outqualified by Logan Sargeant in a bloody WILLIAMS. Yuki also has more Q3 appearances in a freaking Toro Rosso. Get this guy out of the seat and put in someone who deserves it. Yuki or Carlos are both great options.
This has turned out quite the race!
Yep, an absolute cracker. Now watching Indy at Road America. Awesome day of motorsport. (my missus doesn’t agree )
Perez… SMH.
WHAT A RACE!!!
I’m sure John Elkann was saying something similar but for very different reasons.
The team had an absolute shocker of a weekend.
Yeah, that was ridiculous. Probably the worst race I’ve seen from Ferrari in years. Arguably worse than those double-DNF car failure races of 2022 like Baku. At least they had some pace there. Here they had no pace, strategy blunders, and reliability issues.
Good race for Mercedes, 3rd and 4th is a much needed good result. But while it’s a good race for Merc, it definitely wasn’t a good race for Russell. Just made way too many mistakes under pressure again. Like that collision with Piastri. That was just plain amateurish. I’m pretty sure he made contact at the hairpin as well. Numerous little but costly mistakes throughout the first half of the race also cost him. Races like this and Singapore 2023, Australia 2024, etc are the reason I don’t rate him as high as Norris and Leclerc. He just crumbles under pressure.
That was an amazing drive from Max, he really had to fight for it. Well done from him.
Checo…I don’t even have words for it anymore. For the second race in a row, Q1 exit and a DNF. What on earth is he doing? He has no place taking any spot on the grid at this point, let alone in a Red Bull. His teammate qualified second and won the race in the same car and Checo can’t even make Q2 or avoid throwing it into the barriers. What a complete clown, as are Horner and Marko for letting these garbage performances slide.
Amazing race. Action every single lap all the way down the field. I never knew who would finish in any of the positions. Max, Lando, Russell, maybe even Oscar or Lewis could’ve won the race. Great battles down the field as well with Hamilton and Alonso and lots of fighting for the last points. Plenty of shock DNFs and crashes. Insane weather.
THIS is Formula One.
I’m sure Ferrari will be working HARDer than ever before to fix their issues though…
Mclaren WCC? Two legitimate drivers, and a consistent car. I think so. With Ferrari, and Mclaren so close to Max even 3 tenths off of Max won’t do it for Checo. What a bummer, the race pace won’t do it either this year. Finishing 20 seconds back in this tight field just isn’t going to cut it.
Max loses a race, and Newey retires soon after. I don’t blame him for whatever reason. No matter what team he goes to, he’ll never have a season like last year’s again.
Also, the RB20 doesn’t seem to rotate well compared to the Ferrari’s and Mclaren’s. Taking bits off of a car built around a driver on the understeer side of the spectrum (Hamilton), could have something to do with that. It’s going to be a tough season for Max which is good for F1.
To Spain! I expect Ferrari to be back in the mix.

“They pressure me so hard”
Suck it up, Logan. F1 isn’t supposed to be a finishing school.
He doesn’t have anything to be a shamed of. He’s not Latiffi or Mazepin or even Mick. He’s made it through both seasons relatively safe. He’s just trying to keep up with Albon instead of beat Albon, wrong mentality to have in a dog eat dog world. Bring on Kimi! It’s about that time
Catalunya!
After Friday fp1+2, all to play for.
See if rbr can turn things around but more teams in the mix is good
ESPN just didn’t record quali (I have it set to record any new F1) so I missed the session. Need to bite the bullet and get F1TV…$85 would be worth it to not have to deal with this crap…
Looked like a good session from the highlights. Great to see Norris up there, race should be interesting tomorrow. We know RBR are generally quicker over a race distance but McLaren is no slouch. Should be a good one.
Checo made it to Q3! What an amazing performance from him, only 6 tenths off Max!
Mercedes is back it seems from the last two races, can’t underestimate James Allison. Ferrari did better, but they’re going to need more if they want that constructors Championship. Big time lap from Lando. Max went like 3 tenths up on his first run, and Lando just went all out.
Was at Rammstein yesterday so missed race but a good event from what I can gather.
Max the difference as he has been so often. Rbr have a fight on their hands for sure. There is a whiff of Merc and their issues with the ‘zeropods’ about them and their upgrades at that moment.
Austria!
Sprint weekend.
Bit of spice off track for those following.
Well, today was a good day for one side of rbr anyway.
You expect rbr to go well at their home track so to speak but that’s a big gap on a sat
