1977 Ford Thunderbird 400
Specs:
- Engine: 400 cubic inch V8 (naturally aspirated)
- Horsepower: 173 @ 3800 rpm
- Torque: 326 lb-ft @ 1600 rpm
- Transmission: 3-speed “Cruise-O-Matic” automatic (a manual was not offered)
- Drivetrain: RWD
- 0-60: Roughly between the mid-10 and high-11-second range
- Top speed: 114 mph (estimated)
- Note: Other than the 400 engine, two additional V8s were available for the ‘77 T-Bird: a 302 (not available in California) which produces around 130 horsepower, and a 351 which makes around 149 horsepower
