I loaded up the Ford Riley car (that had been added a couple of months ago) hoping that it would have been fixed during the update. As a result of this I seem to be permanently ‘locked’ out of the game and I am unable to load it
Sorry that you ran into this The Sad Snail. As I mentioned in the post referenced above, we are aware and actively working on a content update that will address this bug. I hope to have more information about when it will be released soon.

Kinda insane that the patch was approved by Microsoft. I mean how did that meeting go?
Turn 10: Well there is one slight issue, some players using a certain car with certain mods may not be able to play again until we come up with a new patch.
Microsoft: Well why not, we can’t fix the voice chat on your game, now we’re even though, lol.
Turn 10: lololololol😆
Microsoft: lolololol:laughing:$$$$$$
What’s even funnier is when you consider the pCars updates come to XBOX a week or so later than other platforms because of the Microsoft QC review process. So external developers have to wait, while internal developers can knowingly brick someone’s game and Microsoft is okay with it? Makes perfect sense to me…
That’s what I’m saying, it’s absolutely ridiculous. They could have at least notified everyone that’s on XBL with the in game message service. That way they would for sure know. Even could have temporarily made the car unselectable. Turn 10 has made some highly questionable decisions in recent years. We never get all the info about them though, so while it looks like mainly greedy or dumb moves it could be thier only option…
Hey The Sad Snail,
Today’s content update addressing this issue with the Riley Racing Ford Daytona Prototype has been released. Once you have the update, this should alleviate the issue with your car and you should be able to use it as normal. Thanks for your patience on this issue.
Brian
Seems its prototype nature has its bugs in digital form as it does in real eh? Thanks for the prompt fix!
