The first use of the legendary Aston Martin V12, famously just two Ford Duratec V6s welded together. There was much more to the Indigo than the 435 PS V12 though, as the chassis was made by Reynard, coming off the back of winning Indycar with future F1 champ Jacques Villeneuve plus five consecutive International Formula 3000 (Formula 2 at the time) drivers’ titles. Essentially it’s a road-going, 2-seter Indycar, with the same suspension, gearbox and push-button shifting system used in Reynard’s racers. One functional prototype was built and is owned by Ford to this day.
