FM's monthly content plans

So for the career featured we have until 2 weeks after November 1st? Am I understanding correctly?

I don’t see how the slow content trickle is supposed to help with the woefully incomplete single player campaign. I have never completed every event in a Forza game and I’ve put in a lot of hours into some of the previous entries. Yet after barely a couple of weeks of not even playing that hard I have completed every single event including this month’s limited time event. The prospect of gaining 1-2 hours of additional events each week isn’t much help. I don’t understand why additional cup series can’t be added to this game in a timely fashion yet, as far as I know, no additional cup series have even been announced. It makes absolutely no sense to me at all.

unless they plan to drop 2 new tracks, a full actual career and 4 new cup events every 2 weeks to a month this game still will lack anywhere near enough content to keep people playing.

The average player count Steam stats from VGInsights shows a clear downward trend and SteamDB shows the lowest player count at less than 700 users. I can’t imagine active counts on Xbox are any better, just inflated numbers from Game Pass.

Just using data we have access to and postulating on player counts for another platform.

Game success is determined by engagement. How often you play and how many hours you put into the game now, not just sales, determines a successful product. Dangling the new cars on a stick with the threat of removing them means you will come back every week, not once or twice over the next year, or potentially forgetting the game still exists.

Probably the majority of people.

0% chance given the game is free on Xbox with game pass.

So, on that note… I just went and took a look at the top selling games on XBox through the Microsoft Store: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/store/top-paid/games/xbox

The first time Motorsport 2023 appears on the list is in 18th place, with the Premium Add-On Bundle.

The next time is in 198th place, for the Premium Edition.

After that, 265th place for the Standard.

What’s beating it? Well, games like Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3.

“Oh, really? Well, that’s obvious - it’s the new Call of Duty. Of course it’s going to–”

2011’s Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3. In 181st place. Think that’s bad? Modern Warfare 2 is higher up the list. Which Modern Warfare 2? Yes.

I think that’s enough to tell the story, really. This game is in trouble.

For a game that targets a very narrow audience they needed a smooth successful release. We obviously know how that went. Turn10 set this game up to fail due to their own incompetence. Not to mention irreversible reputation damage. They have to play catch-up big time just to salvage this mess and ensure it’s in a playable state, let alone add to it which is most definitely needed.

The original MW2 is still to this day unironically a better game than Forza is right now lmao

What’s next… November?

Novembug then Decembug followed by Janubewary

Absolutely thoroughly shutting down the “all the players are on Xbox and not tracked!!!” argument. People tried the same thing with Infinite trying to explain away why Infinite went from 250k players to 3k on Steam, despite other “Xbox games” performing better, like FH4.

If the biggest gaming platform on Earth isn’t indicative, nothing is. Steam players wouldn’t be dropping like a stone if the game was any good.

From Gamers perspective yes, not for the guy with MBA degree who makes excel sheets. If the game has already sold enough, technically it’s a success for them and they don’t even need to fix anything. They easily give up on this and start the next venture.

I am sorry to say but I just saw the next two car pass cars that are coming and it’s very disappointing. I paid extra money for this, what happened. We want more Bentley road cars, Mercedes AMG Hammer type cars. Hennessey, Noble, Hoonigan, Formula drift. Or is this co tent coming that we will have to shovel up extra money for. I miss the car pass that gave us hyper cars and road going cars that we see in magazines.

And Mosler, don’t forget about Mosler.

Yes the Moslers are among my favorites too. I just can’t believe the majority of the car pass cars so far are race spec track only. You can barely upgrade these cars and yet their talking about customize. I hate to say this but these cars should’ve been in the game to start. These are a bunch of track focused museum cars and all you can do to them is remove restrictors. I was hoping that by November it would change.
They need to start asking the community what vehicles they want to see included in car pass, cause they have no idea.

Hello T10. Today starts a new month. What are the weekly cars? What is the reward car?
Hellooooo, time to wake up. You slept for six years!
Even ingame no news. Its a shame.
