You’re right, it is a car pack for the kids. This will allow them to smash and bang in A and S class. I thought lower classes were bad until I started practicing in S class. The Rolls and Rover are perfect for kiddie games like Horizon…not this game where they’re used as weapons more often than not.
I like racing in fairly clean lobbies. The 90 jag is likely the only one thatll fit in lower classes where the carnage isn’t quite as bad.
Take the two lame duck heavy tanks out and replace with unique cars (either race or old cars) and this pack wouldn’t be awful. I think most would agree on that.
After I had time to digest the pack, I understand why the cars were selected. My comment was more about not getting a vintage muscle car. More specifically, a mid sixties Pontiac Lemans, or better yet, GTO. From the clues given, it looked like the vintage Pontiac was a no brainer. I also thought from clue 6 there was a slim chance for a Plymouth Superbird. I knew that might be a longshot, however. I grew up in the sixties and my love is for cars from this period, especially Mopar, so that was why I responded the way I did. Not a great excuse, but the best I can do.
With that, I did purchase the pack and added one of each car to my garage. I haven’t tested each car yet, but have to admit I am enjoying the cars, so congrats to Turn10 and Top Gear. Not a bad bunch of cars really and well worth the money. Who knows, maybe some vintage American muscle will finds it’s way into an upcoming pack.
A new Ferrari and Jag I’ll never use (though they are nice looking), 2 completely useless cars in the SUV and RR (will one or both be banned from multiplayer?), a car that will only result in a ton of first corner wrecks (Hellcat), and a rather boring Audi.
The only interesting addition is the '90 Jag. I’ll buy it if we can buy cars individually.
I’m ok with seeing the Hellcat to shut up people, but man I’m glad this pack wasn’t in the car pass.
Not the best pack for me. Sure they all look fun, but none of them are interesting to me. A little disappointing to be honest. I’ll still buy the pack though, because the collector in me says to. Not a whole lot of variety in this pack, something which the others had. I mean, really. The oldest car here is from 1990. I’m just glad to see two, if not three, wishlist biggies in here.
Edit: My thoughts on the cars:
FXX K: A fast Ferrari that the PI won’t be kind to. I doubt it will be in R-Class, and it just won’t be competitive in P-Class. I highly doubt at least, when the 787B, 962c, and XJR-19 are there too.
Charger: As someone who likes the Hellcats, as someone who wanted one in the game…I don’t think we needed both. I didn’t need both, at least. Kind of the same as the Challenger.
Audi: It’s not crazy different from the one we already have.
SVR: Like the Audi above, not crazy different from the one we already have.
F-Type P7: Notice a theme?
Dawn: By now, you should.
XJ S: The only car that isn’t related to something we already have. Unsurprising to see how people who don’t really care for this pack like this one the most.
If the voice-over is to be believed, the cars were chosen by the new hosts. Who wants to play a guessing game as to who picked what?
My guesses:
Evans: FXX K
Harris: XJ S
Sabine: Audi
Matt: Charger
Rory: RR SVR
Eddie: F-Type P7
Stig (I guess, since there’s seven cars, and he’s pictured in the line-up): Dawn, by process of elimination. Maybe Stig’s and Eddie’s or Rory’s are switched.
For the way I enjoy Forza 6, this is the best DLC yet.
The Charger is the clear winner for me, but I am looking forward to racing all of the other vehicles as well.
(I have already set my clean lap for the Lambo S2W3 and since the leagues don’t start until Friday, this gives me 3 solid straight days to imemdiately concentrate on these great cars!)
You guys really complain way too much over cars smh. This is a nice selection while i admit the rolls royce is pointless and could have had another car in its place, everthing else fits perfectly even thr range. Maybe the range rover could challenge the porsche cayenne. Now we do need some cars to challenge the fxxk like the vulcan and p1 gtr.
If this were a car pack in FM5 I would have bought it. But with FM6 already having 560 cars or whatever it has I’m simply being more selective in what I would pay money for. I have a mental list of things I want and if one of those is in a pack I will buy it. If they surprise me with a car I truly want that isn’t in my head I would buy it. Me not buying this is really a testament to how great of a car selection has already been created in this game. These cars just aren’t cars I personally want. This isn’t whining. Just stating these aren’t things I personally want so I will save my money this time. Ideally all of my wants go in to one super home run pack in the future and save me more money on more future packs full of things I’m not excited about in other months.
Lol how is this pack not diverse? They are almost nothing like each other. Turn 10 are always going to lose no matter what car they put in tbh. They could put what I would consider an amazing set of cars in but someone will moan that there too many/not enough race cars/ regular road cars/ track specials or even because a car they own isn’t in!
