Hint#1: Could it be we are talking here about the Cheetah by Bill Thomas?
Hint#2: Hope this is indeed the #0 DeltaWing DW12 Coupe
Hint#3: no idea atm
#1 McLaren F1 GT500 Longtail thingy
#2 Mercedes G-wagen 6x6
#3 Isetta?
- While everyone else is thinking Jaguar, I’m thinking De Tomaso Pantera.
- The deltawing
- some tiny BMW called an Isetta.
The cat one… I’d say some kind of Catfish Camaro, like an RS. Or a Reliant Robin because most cats have 3 legs
Thinking further into it, #3 being the Isetta makes sense, as I don’t recall micro bubble cars in any Forza franchise before. The Pantera would be cool, for sure. Come on Tuesday . . .
so #1 must be the Emil Frey Jaguar G3
#2 Can only be the DeltaWang
#3…well, can only think of the BMW Isetta or Messerschmitt but…can they really be forza cars?
Heh Mech! Good to see you take a crack at this stuff. It is fun, after all.
…and nice to see forza 6 still getting some fresh stuff.
Clue 1: Jaguar XKR GT3
Clue 2: deltawing, does seem to make sense
Clue 3: yeah, bmw isetta. I’ll never drive it but I understand it’s popularity and common request.
#1: Hoping for a Pantera, but the usage of “is” instead of “was” makes me think it’s a contemporary car, so another vote for a GT3 Jaguar.
#2: Deltawing seems as likely as any.
#3: The BMW Isetta would be nuts to drive and fun to mess around with in Forzavista, but I’m hoping for something more sporty, like the “Italian oddity” being the Bertone styling group and the German take being the BMW 3200 CS they designed the bodywork for. EDIT: better yet, the Mercedes-Benz C111, designed by the Italian-born, future Daimler-Benz chief stylist Bruno Sacco.
Hm. Cheetahs count as “cats”, don’t they? Becuase the Bill Thomas Cheetah was an almost garage-built car that went up against the Ford-sponsored Shebly Cobra Daytonas and GM’s own Corvette Grand Sport. Cars that, I’d like to point out, are already present in the game.
I’ll have to go with the Deltawing. Its God Bless America livery is as Stars & Stripes as it gets, but the car was originally a British design, and has always been powered by Japanese engine (Nissan first, and Mazda now). It’d also fit in the first clue we’ve been provided, as it would undoubtedly possess unique handling characteristics.
Is the Iso Isetta an odd Italian car? No doubt about that. BMW licensed the car and re-engineered much of it. The Bavarian’s thinkering with the original concept from Iso eventually resulted in the creation of the BMW 600, a relatively larger, four-seater version powered by a 582cc flat-twin engine from the R67 bike.
Clue 1: I’m going to go with the Felino cB7. The manufacturer name sounds like “Feline” and it is a generally overlooked supercar when it comes to racing games. I don’t know one that has it included (yet).
Clue 2: I’m going to take a wild guess here and say that it is John Greenwood’s 1976 Le Mans Corvette
Clue 3: The BMW Isetta since it was originally an Italian car. And it is definitely an Oddity.
I’ll try at these!
A privateer effort that over came a factory effort… that’s a “cat”, can’t guess. Not a Jaguar, and definitely not the Rocketsports XKR GT2… considering that barely did a lap anywhere it entered.
I want to scream DeltaWing, because it being immortalized in Forza 6 on it’s last year would be awesome. But it’s not a global effort, but only an American one now. I’m going to guess 2002 Panoz LMP-01 Evo. It’s last year before JML took over, was a Stars & Stripes livery.
First thing that comes to mind, is that all the homage cars BMW has done… they were all designed by Pininfarina. I don’t want to pay for a BMW Isetta.
#312 … here we go:
1988 Welter Racing Peugeot WM P88
The Peugeot logo is a lion. In 1988 the Welter Racing team humiliated the factory works teams with the fastest speed ever driven at LeMans (405 km/h).
Polaris Industries → Polaris (star). US company but in the background connected to Japan, Mexico, Austria, France, …
Small roadster like the the Fiat 124 Spider, Alfa Romeo Spider and Ferrari 275 GTS of that time. And WHAT A BEAUTY ! <3
#1- RML Chevy Cruze TC1- Only independently built and run car in the wtcc against factory Honda, Lada, Citroën and Volvo cars
#2- Chevrolet Camaro GT3- Runs in the ADAC gt masters, American car run in a very European championship
#3- Smart Fortwo- Very small German built car, similar to small Italian citycars such as the Fiat Panda
I see a couple other people remembered the Cheetah, That’s my guess as well for #1.
#2 I’d sure like to think Deltawing too as it’s also something we’ve never experienced in Forza.
For #3, how about a Goggomobile Dart?
For the third clue, I’m pretty sure it’s the BMW Isetta. But if I’m right, I hope it’s not the three-wheel special : if it was, it would get upside down at the first turn !
Unfortunately, I didn’t manage to get my Ferrari 312p
#1 felino cB7
#2 Chevy camaro gt3
#3 BMW isetta
Clue 1: 1952 Jaguar C-Type is what I’ll go with given it’s success at the 24 Hours of Le Mans in the early 1950s(1951 Le Mans win was the first ever for Jaguar and also the manufacture’s first 24 Hours of Le Mans) and the fact that it was Jaguar’s first ever vehicle designed for racing. Jaguar was founded as SS Cars in 1922, but quitted production due to World War 2. That company was renamed to Jaguar in 1945 so it didn’t had the prestige that companies such as Ferrari and Aston Martin had.
Clue 2: 1984 Ford Mustang GTP as Zakspeed(a German racing team) helped to develop the car.
Clue 3 2004 Audi Nuvolari Quattro given that it was named after one of the best race car drivers of all time and that the name originates from Italy.
- Emil Frey GT3 Jag in Blancpain
- DELTAWING!!!
- BMW of some sort?
Hint 1 - could it be Kitt from Knight Rider?! Kitty ‘cat’, ‘David’ hasselhoff and Goliath the truck!
-
A lot of people are saying the GT3 Emil Fray Jaguar and i don’t blame them but i think it could be the C Type.
-
Its either the 2001 BMW M3 GTR or the Opel Manta 400 Thunder Saloon. They both ran with stars and stripes liveries but both built in Europe.
-
Might be a bit of a longshot but it could be the Lancia New Stratos, a boy can dream. The whole concept was started by Michael Stoschek a well known Stratos collector who collaborated with Pininfarnia to design and build the car.
