Some race series require PI at a level other than the top of the class. Check the requirements before entering.
So first off I love the game. However I selected a career event and then backed out to max out the P.I. of my GT350 to A700. When I went back in to start the career it told me my upgrades were invalid and I would have to return the vehicle to stock. I didn’t see anything listing restrictions or upgrade for the event so are all of the events like this? If so what’s the point of upgrading besides the online races?
Thanks for the info but how are people who don’t visit the forum going to know what is and isn’t allowed. In all previous titles you could see the restrictions of the event in game. Is there a way to do this or is this the only list?
This thread should be pinned if it’s the only way of knowing what P.I. cars need to be at.
The only way I could see how to determine PI restrictions was to pick the lowest PI car, be told to upgrade it, and choose Manual upgrade to see the PI limit. If I recall correctly this is the same setup as FM5. The only way to see which Division a car is in is to go to Multiplayer, create a private lobby, and set Game Options/Car Restrictions to a Division and see which cars are listed.
Thanks Max.
So, no RWD drift? Interesting
sorry for the noob here… but what´s PI ?
PI is Performance Index and is shown next to every car in the garage and leaderboards. It’s a general indication of how competitive the car will be against another car and its PI on most circuit tracks. Each car has a stock PI but in Career your opponents are upgraded near the maximum level for each event, which encourages the player to do the same with their car. If you don’t have a car for an event, you can buy one from the event menu that is automatically upgraded, or back out to the Find a Car menu, buy the car, and then choose which upgrades to install yourself (or use a shared tuning setup file).
Thank jebus for this list! The game has weird habit of not letting you know what the restriction are. Like if I buy a car after picking the race type for the first time it doesn’t always show up with the auto/manual upgrade screen. (And the upgrade option goes away once your in the race, it should be in the load setups menu always) But if I exit the race, go to change cars it then suggests auto/manual upgrade with the restrictions… very strange…
Does anyone know how to unlock the Hennessey Venom Challenge in the Passing Challenge Showcases? My game lists the unlock condition as ‘showcaseunlockcriteria:’. I hope this bug only concerns the text displayed and not the actual unlocking …
The Hennessey Venom Challenge unlocks after the Bugatti Passing Challenge in the same group.
The Bugatti Passing Challenge unlocks after Race 2 of the Redline Series in the Professional Racing Volume.

why only 4 rivals for drifting?
Quick question: you have 501, 401 etc, but isn’t that supposed to be 500, 400 etc?
I’m using the shortest representation of the rule: <501 means any car 500 and less is eligible, which is different than saying it must be C class. But I’ll edit to add the letter classes to make it more clear.
Asimul thanks for the catch, let me know if there are others, I wonder if there will be any updates applying Divisions to cars that didn’t initially have one.
Cool, thanks. I have actually discovered your spread sheets via your signature. Many thanks for compiling all of that info - very useful.
Hi there is there anyone that has unlocked and tried all Showcase events and would anyone be able to make a list of all the showcase events including the Cars available to choose in the races where there’s a choice, I only ask as I’m trying to max out My Ferrari Affinity and have done a few showcases using Ferrari and wonder if there’s anymore available as the pictures don’t always indicate if a certain manufacturer is involved.
