FM Update 5.0 overview - Nordschleife and Ringer Tour

Only able to watch half the race in replay mode,or has this always been a thing? In open class on nurburgring, replay restarts after 1 and half laps.

Hi Max. The Open Tour career events, not the MP. They have been C-S so far and are D-A this month.

Multi-class in free play is broken

The game crashes every time I try to set up one of these.

There’s a thread for this problem. Go here & vote, so hopefully it will be fixed.

Thanks, already voted and left my complaints.

I love the addition of nordschleife … however i want to play it in multiplayer so i go into featured multiplayer and this week you have S class D class and spotlight car i check them all and none of them are running the track. Maybe a featured event for this track would be nice

That’s what I’ve seen. If they change monthly, somebody forgot to flip the switch until this month. Changing the order is even more reason to keep them in the game and keep adding on to the open career series.

Vote!

This to remove FOMO is also to keep the open series in the game. VOTE VOTE VOTE!

A post was split to a new topic: Flickering in multiplayer starting grid

I have seen a pretty big improvement in two area on the PC version:

  • FFB on a wheel.
  • Framerates.
I updated my Nvidia driver and there was a substantial jump in framerates.
    I am running a RTX 3070ti / 5800x / 32GB.
With the graphics setting on High(default) and unlocked FPS I am getting well over 100fps.
There have been some crashes here and there, but I feel as though things are heading in the right direction.
    Thanks devs!

And you don’t get juddering, stuttering and bad frame pacing if going above 75 FPS?

If i go above 75 FPS it becomes unplayable.
I am running RTX 3080 / 5950x / 32GB.

Please Turn10, fix your stupid Ai. First fix your momentum boost for the first three cars. Then fix the drivingline and the breaks from the Ai. Its better you fix the hole game from the beginning, because this is not a Forza! Turn10 you have lost your passion for your game.

Not since update 5 and Nvidia driver update.
Watkins Glen was a notoriously bad track and it runs fine on that also.
What graphics settings are you using?

Current Dynamic Render Quality: Custom
Dynamic optimization: Custom
Fullscreen: On
Show framerate: On
NVIDIA DLSS: Off
AMD FSR 2.0: Off
Performance target: Unlocked
Resolution scale: 100%
Anistropic filtering: 16x
Raytracing quality: Off
RTAO quality: Low
Shadow quality: High
Cubemap reflection quality: Low
Car model quality: High
Car livery quality: High
Windshield reflection quality: High
Mirror quality: Medium
Track texture quality: High
Particle effects quality: Medium
Motion blur quality: Off
Lens flare quality: Off

These are basicly the Digital Foundry Settings.

Here from somebody else for comparison.

In a normal race I’m getting 130+fps

Oh you play with auto settings. And in a lower resolution. For me auto settings doesn’t make it more smooth.

Yeah.
Before update 5 I used to play around with the setting(not auto).
But this is set to HIGH then all I do is unlock the framerate.
And yes, I am at a lower res than you. 1440p Vs 2160.

I had my CPU running completely stock for years, but now i try out AMD curve optimizer, maybe i can get a bit higher CPU frequency. Maybe that helps a bit. But that takes 2 hours and 15 minutes or something ugh.

Anyway still thanks for sharing your settings.

Edit: Using Ryzen Master’s Automatic Curveoptimzier only made my PC unstable. That was 2 hours and 15 minutes wasted. I will never use PBO2 or Curve Optimizer again and just keep the CPU at stock speeds.
