Honestly, Dont have an issue with anything in this paragraph. Looks like they’re acknowledging the real issues way better than they did in that post a few weeks ago. and the term “ASAP” is used. Thats the kind of response we should have seen 4 months ago. But at least we finally get some veneer of care, as opposed to the near passive aggressive clinical posts we’ve gotten so used to.
This doesnt make it “more discoverable” as it was already moved out of the terrible place it was before in the pause menu during the practice. This just makes it less janky to play as you dont have to start up a practice you know you dont want to do, only to pause immediately to skip it. the only better thing you could do is turn the “Skip practice” button into a “start race” button instead. The next step is obviously to add Qualifying to SP and MP lobbies.
These are so basic and fundamental, I laughed out loud reading this because I had no idea this game somehow managed to fail to have them. At least were finally getting it back to the absolute bare minimum standards.
With how short they want to keep the races, You wouldnt be able to set a clean lap for quali, And it mayyy be able to squeeze out 2 laps in A class and up. But anything lower and you’re looking at a 10 minute lap.
There’s an opportunity here. They could add a Nordschleife lobby in each week’s Featured Multiplayer. Rotate classes, but always on Nordschleife. Or have an “Endurance” lobby each week that rotates classes, which perhaps forgoes qualifying and places the grid by PI or driver level. Longer races on other tracks, and 3 or so laps on the Nordschleif. Target 30 or 40 minute races. Fuel stops, tire changes. Strategy!
But what do I know, I’ve only been playing this game for like, 19 years.
Hehehheheeheee. Ahhh, you must be new.
Thats neeeeever happening.
They’re happing to have you wait for an hour for the next online hopper lobby. But a 30 minute race??? Thats simply ridiculous.
New to this forum, yes. New to the game, not by a long shot. People ask for longer races all the time. Doesn’t matter anyway, they’ll never do it, but it wouldn’t cost a dime to try. I’d totally do those lobbies.
In short: it’s the lazy way because they also would need to adjust the tire wear so that softs last a lap.
In the end it should be our choice - the players - if we want these long races or not. Given by experience in the past that’s a big “YES” for the Nordschleife in Featured MP.
Here’s another question; are they going to include the combo nordschliefe + GP circuit or short us again but cutting a ribbon out? Wondering if the pit lane on the ring will be working properly.
I’ll be going back through the rim selection when the update drops to see if any work has been done towards fixing any of the many bugged rims that can’t be painted properly. Otherwise I’m looking forward to seeing what changes will be made to the caRPG system, that will be the game-changer for me.
Happy to see that Pc issues will be “fixed”, but I can’t see graphics problems Being quoted like part of tracks invisible or black (this is old problem that not fixed).
I wonder if the car pg issue will be in update 5 or a later one?The text says its a preview of what is to come in update 5 then goes on to say the car pg is in various states of design and testing and will be released asap.Or am i reading too much into this statement.lol
Weather staying locked to what I initially set in free play. This is huge! Most of my playtime with the game is in free play, where I set the first race and then run what ever the game throws at me. The weather changing when I set it to clear, always puzzled me. I’m glad this will be fixed too. Now I can set random time of day, 30 minute races and work with the skip track button, if something ridiculously short pops up.
Im curious about this too. I have a feeling the CarPG system will be kept but implemented in a way that would be agreeable to nearly everyone. I do want to learn more about all parts being unlocked and available to use at the start. How will this playout?
