This for controller as well? Manual with clutch on controller was unplayable at launch, and I’m a poor just dreaming in this thread.
I play forza on PC now that it’s patched up relatively well (used to play on xsx because it was unplayable for the first 3 months post launch on PC) I use fanalab to keep my settings
That boring me so much too, sometimes the race transmission cost nothing
At launch, it was also unplayable on wheel. You had to wait until the gear number you selected was displayed, before you could let off the clutch. I don’t know if its been fixed on controller, I never tried doing anything other than livery designing with a conteoller.
Nope. Post your FFB settings. Been that way since day 1. plenty of youtube videos about it.
My Turtle Beach DD wheel feels night and day different to my Logitech specifically on FM. But the one similarity they most definitely share is a complete lack of response to curb riding.
This comes across as very dismissive and feels like you’re trying to play gatekeeper. With all due respect, who are you to say what another player can or can’t feel while playing?
I don’t need YouTube videos to tell me what I have or have not experienced myself while playing. Based on my personal experience, raised curbs with an edge or sausage curbs in general can usually be felt through the wheel as expected. Rumble strips, however, are very hit or miss. Some will rattle the fillings out of my teeth if my settings are turned up, while others will do nothing more than offer an audio cue while offering no difference whatsoever from the standard feel of the road around it.
Because its not subjective?? If anyone is getting FFB input for curbs, Its either something thats exremely specifically broken for most other people. Myself, most of the forums, and youtube. Or they are mistaking other FFB as curb feedback. Or there are settings that they’ve changed that have actually affected curbs that others are not aware of. Which, is why I asked for feedback settings to be posted to compare against. I would love to have feedback on curbs. He specifically brings up the ring and how its giving curb input. Something that I have lamented about the ring the most since its addition, As I’ve been comparing back to back on AMS2 and ACC. The ring on FM does not give any feedback when you run on curbs, Where it should be most noticeable. And it does do what he says, nearly ripping the wheel if you dont have a tight hold on it over cubs, but on AMS2, Not Forza.
No it wasn’t.
It was unplayable while using a clutch. The solution? Don’t use a clutch.
Those are my G920 settings. This is a slightly modified version of HokiHoshi’s wheel settings. Changing vibration is where I see the most difference in running over kerbs. I agree that most don’t behave the way they are meant to but I’d rather T10 fixed the bigger issues with some of them before they worry about fixing that. Like kurbs being too high or causing you to lose grip like Sabine-Schmitz-Kurve or the exit at Hoheichen.
Oh? Enlighten me then…
If I wanted to use a clutch pedal with the delay still happening, what was the work around?
And no, the answer isn’t don’t use the clutch. The requirement is to use it.
So what was I supposed to do?
Also, did you take what I was responding to into context before replying? It seems like you didnt.
The amount of time made up by using a clutch over not using one is minimal. You’re complaining that using a clutch is too slow? Then stop using it. There is no requirement for anyone to use it. It’s a choice. A choice that you made. My choice was to not use it.
Do you understand what unplayable means? You clearly don’t.
Correct, it’s not subjective. Here is definitive proof that there IS in fact force feedback generated by curbs in FM, even on the Nurburgring (both GP circuit and Nordschleife):
Is it implemented perfectly? No. A lot of curbs where you’d expect to feel something, you don’t. Which applies for pretty much every track in the game. But to suggest that the game has a “complete lack of response to curb riding” is simply incorrect.
Great to have another wheel user amongst us, and glad to hear you’re enjoying it!
Be sure to grab a copy of ACC if you haven’t already, as it’s also amazing, easily the most immersive FFB available on XBox.
If you do feel like supporting the cause to have the FM23 FFB improved even more (as many have mentioned the lack of curb response isn’t ideal) please vote here:
You’re mis understanding what I wrote, and putting your own spin on what I meant. Continue arguing with yourself.
Thanks. Ill look into it further. But as of testing today. Curbs still behave like flat road to the wheels feedback.

I took a three month break from the game (largely due to a breaking my shoulder right on new year’s) and jumped back into the rig last night for the first time to give the Ring a shot. I don’t remember the FFB being this good?
Toward the end of last year, I’d been playing a lot of AMS2 and ACC, so I feel like those games spoiled me, but jumping straight into FM23 has been refreshing. Was able to whip the Ring like it owed me money running HUDless and without a line.
Just need those configurable camera settings, please. It would be a game changer. Each POV has something wrong with it, be it the height or depth.
Post a photo I wanna see your rig. Also if possible, in action. Thanks!
I couldn’t play on controller even if it was faster. Losing the immersion would be a deal breaker. Even moreso in ACC and other sims. I don’t current use clutch in FM though as it wasn’t working properly in game last time I tried it with sequential gearboxes.

You gotta admit nothing beats not having to set up anything, just plopping on the bed or sofa, and putting a few laps in.
But… elbow tendinosis eventually from years of racing on a controller, haha.
