Filter or separate Rivals Leaderboards per car model

So back in FM 6 there were class leaderboards in rivals and class leaderboards for times that were set in online (public/private) lobbies. Now in FM 7 these were all put in one giant leaderboard making it so one can’t see what time they did in a lower class.

Now, obviously Rivals (hot laps) are different from lobby times, especially with the dynamic weather we’re getting in the new game.

What I’d like to see (and this is relatively easy to implement) is the return of separate leaderboards per class, with the addition of a new filter; all of the cars that have done a lap on a track will show the best lap time. This way a player can easily see how well a car performs on what track.

To re-iterate:
Leaderboards per class for times set in Rivals
Leaderboards per class for times set in lobbies (multiplayer/single player)

Filters for leaderboards:

  • World
  • Continent/Region
  • Country (new)
  • Near me
  • Friends
  • Hardcore
  • Cars of said class that set laps on track (new)

Personally I’d love to see a lap time per different build of a car as well but that might be a bit much to ask, however I made a small app for my personal use to keep track of that data, so it shouldn’t be that hard

It would be nice to have leaderboards for stock cars, and to be able to sort the leaderboards by PI.

Allow players to filter rival leaderboards by car type and/or manufacturer so that we can easily find ghosts to race or new tunes for a select car or manufacturer.

I’d like to filter for a specific car model. That way you don’t feel like you have to be driving the “it” car for a certain class or track in order to compete… much more interested in seeing where I stack up against everybody else that is driving the car I’m in instead.

In the rivals leaderboards, could we please have a ‘same car’ filter. This would give the option of a whole load of ‘bests’ to go for despite which cars are quickest at any particular track.

This would help so much to improve fast driving as we can use some higher player as reference.

I agree this would be really nice to have, but I am guessing that the reason they don’t do it is it potentially increases the amount of data storage needed by a large factor. Instead of storing one replay per player per leaderboard they potentially have to store hundreds of replays per player per leaderboard, though in practice not many players will put in performances with huge numbers of different cars on lots of leaderboards.

Yes please this would be a nice update. The times alone would be great, the ghosts even greater.

Playing rivals it would be nice to be able to filter the leaderboards by vehicle. Other filter options would be nice too.

I love upgrading my cars and putting them in faster classes. I also love pushing a stock car to its absolute limits. Forza Motorsport 2023 should have best lap leaderboards for each individual car in the game, relative to the track you select. I wanna know who’s the fastest around the Green Hell in a stock BRZ or Testarossa.

It’s also a way to pad out the game in a meaningful way w/o having to write code for a whole new race type.

I can see that having individual stock events for every car on every track might be a bit difficult. Perhaps having a couple of fixed events per track which each utilised a different stock car might be an option?

It would also be nice to have the option of filtering rivals by car and division, which should be far more manageable. I’m doing quite a lot of testing for spec events and it would be great to able to see if there were any equivalent ghosts to race against without having to try and scroll miles down the leaderboard.

Nah. I wanna know who the best in the world is at that car at that track. Don’t care if only 50 people attempt it. Plus it’ll give Turn 10 accurate data on which cars are really fan favorites. Developers can highlight popular combos of cars and track and make those weekly trial events or something.

I like keeping cars stock, personally. I don’t do multiplayer nor do I usually race to get the best possible time. I like to compare cars in stock form and just appreciate their driving dynamics.

But I also enjoy rivals, chasing my own best times. But rivals for me is ruined by only being able to access the ghost lap of your BEST car time. I’d like to have the best times for each car recorded so I can choose which of my cars to ghost chase a selected car I also choose.

Being able to choose between stock and modded would be another great feature. In fact I wish there was a way in free race (when you select custom race and choose exactly which car/s you want to race against) to select whether your AI opponent’s car is stock or modded (unless that feature already exists?).

I would like to be able to set rival on the type of tires you are using personally

I’d definitely participate in these type of events. If my car is ever tuned it’s by someone else or by using quick upgrade. It’d be pretty awesome to have 1 stock rivals event per class at every track! Turn10 could use a poll on here or in game to choose the cars the community wants to drive most and assign them either randomly or with thought (MX-5 at Lime Rock, McLaren F1 at LeMans) I think it would be fun and engaging especially if done on a monthly basis with the new events staying permanently

I miss the career leaderboards, I want to know I’m faster than my friends or they beat me in a career race

There’s a lot missing in the leaderboards. Race career boards for starters. Why those didn’t make the game cut I can’t understand the reasoning.

Built cars leaderboards tell which cars are the META Cars.

Stock cars leaderboards tell what the driver can do.

I quite like the stock racing so stock rivals could be ok.
Thing is though, most stock cars handle really really badly plus those using auto gearbox are slower than those using manual who are slower than those using manual with clutch!, on FM7 it was up 1.5 seconds a lap slower depending on the track, same goes for ABS being slower than those using Non ABS.

Bruh, duh. It’s STOCK. That’s part of the challenge, part of the fun.

Please if any dev read this im begging you to add this feature, I really wants to compare my time with people that drive the same car. Please guys upvote this topic so that dev actually put that in the game
