FH6 car list discussion (112 cars on the unofficial list, last updated on 12/3/2026)

I kind of hope they will exclude the outdated car models and remodel them to add later to the game. FH6 is the perfect opportunity for that.

I also hope the new DLC cars from Forza Motorsport will be added. Those are really nice and include the Mazda Furai.

Throw in some cool Kei cars and the 9 remodeled cars that were announced earlier and the game should have a pretty good car list.

They did say they will remodel them in FH6

They said “for future games” so I do assume it means FH6 yeah.

Yeah it’s definitely happening in the next game. 5 years should be enough.

Here is every car thats available in those games.

There was ca. 300 Japanese cars in "Forzaverse” to date, I’m going to list all of them in the first post soon (with exception of those from FM1 and FM2, as their quality is beyond salvation)

Most FM3 and FM4 models also deserve to be scrapped if they can’t be significantly modified to have a higher poly count. One that immediately comes to my mind is the R33 Skyline, which is not as inaccurate as the R34 and the R32, but still requires a remodel.

Not saying it means or will come to anything, but after it came out where Turn10 had been to scan cars, I looked through their website, and at some stage they did have an Evo 6 TME they’ve since sold (just looked again and also listed is an Evo 8 RS, fwiw).

Does anybody know how many new-to-Forza cars were in Forza Horizon 5 at launch? I want to know because I think that would be a useful benchmark of what to expect in FH6.

EDIT:
Using ManteoMax’s spreadsheet, I’ve come up with this list, as far as I can tell it’s correct but if I got something wrong let me know. These are the cars that debuted in Forza on the date of Horizon 5’s launch, November 5 2021:

Summary

Aston Martin Valhalla Concept

DeBerti Toyota Tacoma “Performance Truck”

2021 Ford Bronco

Ford Performance Bronco R

Ford Super Duty F-450 DRW Platinum

Ford “Brocky” Bronco RTR

1967 Ford Racing Escort Mk1

Formula Drift GR Supra

Formula Drift BMW M2

Formula Drift Corolla Hatchback

Formula Drift Corvette Z06

Formula Drift Mazda RX-8

Formula Drift Supra MkIV

Forsberg Racing Camry

Forsberg Racing Datsun 280Z

1970 GMC Jimmy

Hoonigan Ford Escort RS “Cossie V2”

1991 Jaguar Sport XJR-15

2020 Land Rover Defender 110 X

2020 Lotus Evija

2020 McLaren GT

2021 Mercedes-AMG ONE

2004 Nissan Pickup Rally Raid

2020 Porsche Taycan Turbo S

2018 Porsche Macan LPR Rally Raid

1989 Porsche Rothsport Racing 911 Desert Flyer

1968 Renault 4L Export

2021 Sierra Cars RX3

2020 Toyota GR Supra

That’s a total of 29 new-to-Forza cars at FH5’s launch, though a lot of them are modifications and not entirely new models (though I don’t know to what extent some of the modified cars actually reuse existing game assets or not).

EDIT 2:
Of those 29 cars, 17 were completely new chassis not represented in Forza before that point, whereas the remaining 12 were modifications of chassis already present in Forza before the launch of FH5.

Yup, Forza Horizon 5 had few new-to-Forza cars at launch but we should remember that FH4 kept getting new (or recycled) cars until July 2021, i.e. just four months before FH5 launched. This time the gap is much larger, and the car team probably no longer prepares cars for Forza Motorsport at the same time ( ), so we can expect more “fresh air” in the car roster in Forza Horizon 6.

However, I don’t think we’re getting more than 600 cars at launch. Unfortunately, Game Pass still dictates the game design for first-party live-service titles from Xbox so PG needs room to add massive amounts of cars week after week and month after month so that people keep coming back (and keep paying for the subscription). I just hope FOMO won’t hit so hard this time.

How did the new-to-Forza additions at launch for FH4 compare?

I agree that FH6 might likely have more than FH5 as its roster won’t have been developed under the constraints of the pandemic.

If I recall correctly, FH4’s new cars had a lot of vehicles that were very much on-theme for a game set in England. I think it makes a lot of sense for FH6’s new-to-Forza cars to have a similar focus on JDM vehicles.

By the way, welcome back Benji!

In Forza Horizon 4, we had only ~25 new-to-Forza cars at launch (including 7 James Bond Edition models in day one DLC), but the car roster felt fairly fresh because it was bigger than in FH3 and there were also numerous cars last seen in X360 era, as well as many models from Forza Motorsport that were not available in any Forza Horizon to date. And yes, new cars were mostly related to the British setting so I’d expect something similar for Japan too

Without turning my post into a wishlist I hope we’ll see a lot of missing brands like Suzuki or Daihatsu.
The announcement of kei cars and vans alongside the cool Horizon 5 Nissan car pack gives me hope we’ll see some quirky Japanese cars.
Like GT has with the iconic Daihatsu Midget.

Overall I’m looking more forward to these kind of vehicles than the latest supercars.

862 cars. Forza editions, promotional cars (Pagani Zonda Cinque Roadster Oreo Edition, Ford Supervan 3 Donut Edition, Dodge Viper GTS Anniversary Edition) and movie cars (Barbie, Fast X and Universal) won’t carry over.

If we launch with 1,000 cars, that’s around a minimum of 138 new additions, more than enough to keep the car list fresh and varied, assuming that there are no licensing issues whatsoever.

Playground will want to take advantage of whatever they can add, whether those from Motorsport, more forgotten cars from previous games, or entirely new ones.

That’s pretty generous.

I’m not sure that any of the Xbox One-and-onwards Forzas have launched with a base game car list that is larger than the end-of-game total car count of the previous game.

I mean, I certainly wouldn’t complain about it though. I just don’t think it’s realistic.

Yeah that’s about what I thought the number was.

I’m writing up my own list of what I think the new additions should be using that number as a guideline, and trying to figure out how to fit a bit of everything into just 25 slots is quite difficult. I have to hand it to the developers as they have their work cut out for them.

While the Forza franchise has had no shortage of iconic Japanese performance cars, the sheer variety of other interesting vehicles that haven’t been explored within that category is immense. I could probably write a list of 50 vehicles that I would consider essential in a Japan setting, but Playground not only can’t include that many at launch but also will need to highlight other important automotive developments of the last few years too.

It’ll be tricky but I think they’ll do a great job. And the post-launch support will be able to cover plenty of other vehicles too.

Each Forza Motorsport had more cars than previous one at launch until the latest one (2023) came out. The same goes for Forza Horizon 2 and 3, while FH4 had similar amount of content to FH3 at launch, and FH5 at launch dropped the car count significantly: from 711 when FH4 reached EoL state to ca. 500 when FH5 launched. Something similar happened with release of Forza Motorsport (2023), with similar numbers, so I expect that it’s going to happen with Forza Horizon 6 as well.

I expect Forza Horizon 6 to deliver much more than 25 brand new cars at launch. There is going to be large gap between the last update for FH5 and the launch of FH6, so this time Playground Games has room to prepare more cars. And they should work not only on some Japan-specific new vehicles, considering how outdated are Forza’s line-ups of some European brands now (e.g. Aston Martin, Ferrari, Mercedes)

Exactly. To play devil’s advocate, Horizon 5 probably only had less than 25 new cars because of the pandemic and the need to save other new cars for the car pass. For Horizon 6, the developers only have one of those to worry about.

I’ve updated the first post with a list of all Japanese cars featured in almost all Forza games to date. Consider it a little speculative exercise for fun
