Pretty disappointing that there’s only Standard edition to buy physically. So if you buy Standard edition physical, you get punished by not being able to play early unless you buy the Ad ons bundle as well

Does anyone know if you can pre-order the Premium edition as a hard copy/Disk? I’ve got every Forza on disk so want to keep it going if i can. Thanks
The dev’s have stated to contact local retailers in regards to this. Yes, you can pre-order hard copies.
It seems that the physical disk standard version is not compatible with the add-ons bundle:
“Premium Add-Ons Bundle (Digital only): $49.99 USD (£39.99 GBP and €49.99 EUR)
Sold separately as an upgrade for Game Pass, Standard Digital, and Deluxe Digital.”
Could this be true and why ?
I like having the physical disc.
The ultimate editions have always been standard disc and a digital code for the DLC’s.
What the point in the preordering if game basically f2p?
Not everyone has game pass.
I’ve been planning on preordering Forza Horizon 5, but I can’t find anywhere how long it will be in preorder. Since I am still waiting until I preorder it, I am worried about missing it. How long will Forza Horizon 5 be available to buy in preorder?
Will the formally know as ultimate edition be available on disc to pre order can only find standard edition at the moment or is it just going to be digital
Unfortunately, it doesn’t appear so. As a fan of hardcopies, this is definitely disappointing, but not surprising. My strategy is to buy the Premium Edition to gain early access and get the DLC for cheaps, and later pick up a physical copy once used physical copies drop in price just to say I have one.

I’m not getting the Premium Edition. I didn’t buy Hot Wheels for Horizon 3 and didn’t think they’d be daft enough to repeat such a ridiculous premise in Horizon 4 so preordered the Ultimate Edition, then we got Lego Speed Champions. I’ll wait until release, watch some reviews to decide if I want the game at all at release prices, then decide which extra bits I want and buy them individually.
See, I loved the Lego expansion. The reason I got into Horizon in the first place. I’m on for one of the expansions to be something similar i.e. Lego or Hotwheels. However I can’t see either happening as Hotwheels have their own game coming out.
Horses for courses I guess. I got into Horizon as a grounded but accessible open world game based around car culture and music. I feel the series has steered away from that, and the the vibe from the stuff that’s brought you into the series is the exact same stuff driving me away.
It’ll be what it’ll be this point, and I can continue to vote with my wallet. If the game veers too far away from what I’m after I’ll simply continue to play the older games until a competitor enters the market with a better product for me, and you guys can continue to have fun with the series.
That said, there’s elements of Horizon 5 that I’m lookig forward to seeing in action, so I doubt I’ll give this one a miss entirely, I just don’t want to financially support the content I don’t personally like.

Those who purchase the Forza-inspired controller will gain three pieces of exclusive in-game content: a Forza edition car, cosmetic item, and victory emote.
So this content is not included in the Premium (Utimate) Edition of the game ?
