I would guess from the followers’ perspective they likely don’t notice it’s broken. It looks like it works. There’s no error so you go on with the game. Go to the next car and click on tunes to download. Who would think it’s broken just because there isn’t a tune from them there. By then they’ve forgotten my/your/whomever’s name.

It doesn’t work in Horizon 4 or 5 [edit: as stated already] so I’d guess it is a server side bug. I wouldn’t expect the client updates to affect it nor for it to be fixed in conjunction with one. It’s possible of course.

I didn’t mean to sound negative but it seems like it would have a major impact on anyone starting the game or anyone that’s improving in the creative / tuning areas I’m surprised it’s not being addressed.

It is almost May. This feature has not been working basically since the beginning of the year in two games at once.
But in exchange for this minor inconvenience, I received great opportunity from the developers to support them with four (already) car packs. I don’t know why I should sound anything other than negative

This issue is VERY important for regular players who follow tuners and designers. It is VERY annoying that it the devs don’t seem to care. Please fix this. Really, it’s time.

Following creators does work in Horizon 4/3 at least right now, it didnt work at first in 4 when i installed it two weeks ago but after a few tries it suddenly fixed itself somehow. In 3 the function to search a design via description is not working and gives an error, following and unfollowing in Horizon 5 is also still completely borked. All of this has been tested on Series X. I guess all of these features make them less money than their monthly car pack scam so they arent even trying to fix any of it, FH4 online has been unplayable for years at this point due to random disconnects and several minute or infinitely long loading screens 
I just checked FH4 and it’s not working. I tried to follow and the change doesn’t stick. I’m pretty sure whatever controls this is profile based so any game that uses the same mechanism/attributes would be impacted.
It works fine in 4 for me though, just not 5.
I take it there’s still no progress on this for anyone. I raised a ticket, probably a couple moths ago now, and got the usual’ marked as solved’ response but still broken for me all this time later.

Not for me. FH4 and FH5 still showing same behavior.
Garage > Designs > Followed Players > Select someone and unfollow.
Back out and check followed players. The unfollow had no effect.
They haven’t posted full release notes for the next update, so not sure if a fix will be included or not.
Fingers still crossed (for 5 months now)…

I tried this last night, and the issue remains on my end. I am still unable to unfollow or follow players via creative hub pages. If there is another method for unfollowing & following players, I’d love to know. My list is very outdated and I hate it.

Assuming you completely closed out of the game & restarted it?
I do notice a definite lag between follow/unfollow action and the Followed Players listing. Sometimes it takes several minutes, so don’t expect that table to update/refresh immediately. Everything seems to be working as expected for me (PC/MS Store version).
If the creator follow feature still doesn’t work, try leaving whatever player home you are in and driving to another, that’s how I got mine to work. (Xbox One)
