My entry into the 2020 Retro Cartoon Contest hosted by SnakeEyes Friex.
Took a while to paint this one as well as a fair bit of research. I wanted to do something a bit different instead of using the standard images you get when you search ‘FUTURAMA’ but it had been a while since I’d watched the show. When I started painting my initial vinyls of the spaceship and text, I decided to watch the show again on SKY DEMAND for some inspiration and ended up watching every episode of every season - including the feature length films - back to back!
It was worth it though, I was lucky enough to be voted the winner albeit by a very narrow margin

When I’m not painting/racing in Forza I’m pretty much guaranteed to be playing Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Wildlands - undoubtedly the best co-op shooter I’ve ever played. Promised to bring my mate AZ Freefly’s favourite in game vehicle into Forza and did consider embellishing it with some UBISOFT/ Ghost Recon decals but decided to concentrate on getting an accurate logo instead because all the others I’ve seen have used the standard Forza fonts.

My first new Horizon 4 design which was intended as an Auction House exclusive. I painted this back in the early part of May and inspired by Simon Larsson’s livery for the 2018 Super Trofeo. I’ve since seen a very good version that was entered & featured in one of the Weekly Comps. after which I stopped listing it on the AH.
As far as I know they had a few versions on their SF but not on this model so I will still put one up randomly or if requested.

Another Auction House exclusive. I painted this in July to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the album’s release. I love driving to this in real life as well as in Forza, a timeless classic from one of my favourite bands - ‘nuff said.
Originally only painted it for myself & even though I haven’t decided it’s going to be a limited edition, I don’t list them that often so ask if you’d like one put up.

We don’t have the exact model for me to make a proper replica of their newest Mercedes AMG GT4 so I ended up with a design which takes elements from the Race car & their track day car…

AH Performance NYC Yellow cab.
Seeing as we don’t have the exact model in game I decided to put this design on the M5 saloon, rather than either of the M3s. It might not suit any purists out there but believe me it just looks so much better on a five door vehicle. Took some time creating the font for the fares even though it’s hard to make out the detail as things are shrunk down - HORIZON really needs to catch up with Motorsport when it comes to the enhanced graphics.
Wasn’t sure about sharing it but I searched and found lots of Ring Taxis & a couple of GATEBIL designs but only one other yellow cab for this model so thought “might as well”.

If memory serves I think I saw this one during a random search on the Essen Motorshow. Not much of a story to be honest… liked the look of it… painted it…
As usual I checked after I’d done it and there is one already shared albeit not as detailed. Thought about adding this to my list of auctions but in the end decided to go the SF route.

I came across this while searching for something entirely different (can’t even remember what now, LoL) and liked the look of it so……
It’s a fairly simple design and I thought it’d be one of those quick ‘Sunday avo’ paints but it took me quite a while to find the Werk logo in the end - shame we don’t have VOSSEN wheels in game.

Final Fantasy 16-bit Buddies recolour skin.
This one was a forum request which caught my attention because it was not something I would normally choose to paint. Fairly straightforward to create but it took a ridiculous amount of time to research! Got it as accurate as I possibly could so I’m happy enough with how it turned out… more importantly, so was the person who requested it originally

Ed Roth’s “NITE MARE” Bel Air.
Another tribute to Ed ‘Big Daddy’ Roth who, for those that didn’t know, was a cartoonist, illustrator & car customiser from the 50s/60s famous for his pinstriping & hot rod character Rat Fink. I’d been wanting to bring his ‘Nite Mare’ Bel Air to the game for ages but never got around to it until KoolIROCZ1967 hosted the Show me a Chevy design contest.
Source pics of the original car are limited to a couple of black and white photos & this colour shot that I found while researching a Hot Rod photographer.

My entry for PTG’s Gears of War livery contest. Inspired by the artwork of Luke Preece, I have to admit I found it a real challenge but well worth it in the end because I was lucky enough to be voted the winner. Been entering community run comps since FM2 days and I don’t think I’ve ever placed in the top 3 never mind actually won one - chuffed to bits

My entry into PTG’s Music Livery Contest based on the album ‘Strong Arm of the Law’.
I doubt many people will remember SAXON, they’re still going I think but their heyday was in the 80’s. I did do a search before I started and got no results in either FM7 or H4! I’ve got a vague recollection of seeing their logo once waaaaay back in FM2 (possibly FM3 & possibly by a certain forum Moderator??? 
) but I don’t recall ever seeing an actual design done - sort of like the idea of painting something that hasn’t been done before (probably has though…)
