When is this getting fixed?
Racing against a friend or two in private lobbies without any AI is incredibly lifeless.
How come FH4 has this, but even after a year - FM7 does not?

It is a great question!! Unfortunately it has been asked many times and met with silence from turn 10. I think you better get used to the idea that it will never happen on Forza Motorsport 7. Forced Multiplayer is the new direction of this company from what I see with this game and forza horizon 4. Maybe they will figure it out in a year or so when they don’t have enough people to play in the toxic rammer community of online play with randoms.
I would really love to see the stats of how many people are even playing this game now after FH4 release( where you can race with your friends) and after the leaderboard wipes, and all the changes they have made that have frankly came about a year too late. Forza Motorsport is not going in the right direction. Every moment spent on multiplayer focus for online events, and trivial driver gear nonsense is a another step away from what made this game one of the best racers anywhere. I have never truly been happy with FM7, I am however enjoying FH4 because I can race with friends again in a controlled setup for me and 3 or 4 friends. But even horizon has went for the stupid driver gear which most people hate, and they have killed the rivals events.
I hope the next forza game fixes this problem, but I will never pre order again and wont buy anymore unless this feature is a part of the game.
