OFFICIAL LIVESTREAMS
Forza has two regular weekly livestreams on its official Forza Motorsport is on Facebook Gaming (formerly Beam) and Twitch channels. In each stream you’ll see a Turn 10 community team member show off current gameplay, maybe mention some recent news (but look to News - Forza for actual announcements), and play multiplayer with viewers. You have to be registered with Twitch and Beam in order to participate in the chat during the stream.
Schedule
Tuesdays from 1pm to 3pm Pacific time are typically hosted by John Schommer (gt: Johniwanna). He tends to take on Rivals events (and offroad events in Forza Horizon games when they’re current) and shows off the most recent cars from DLC packs in addition to multiplayer. John has also given away Forza branded items (posters, tshirts, etc) to a lucky chat member in previous streams.
Fridays from 3pm to 5pm Pacific time are typically hosted by Brian Ekberg (gt: Mechberg). He tends to prefer multiplayer circuit races, shows off monthly gift cars, and will give an overview of the Week in Review and upcoming events. Lately he’s been ending the stream with a lap of the full Nurburgring in a randomly chosen car in stock form for everyone. Recent cars used: El Camino, Audi #2 R15++, Mercedes racing truck, BMW Isetta, Shelby Cobra 427, Ford GT '17, Chevy Nova '66, Lotus Exige S, Hyundai Veloster, Chevy Chevelle, Dodge Super Bee, NASCAR, BAC Mono, V8 Supercars.
Javier Hernandez (gt: Ayo Jube) steps in from time to time to show off painting works in progress and provide tips.
Tips and conduct
All skill levels are welcome to participate in multiplayer as long as you try to race clean. Since Johniwanna and Mechberg don’t issue multiplayer invites, you’ll have to join their session in order to find the lobby. Add them as a Friend on Xbox to be able to join them; if they show offline, try joining off the name of another gamertag you see in their lobby. Lobby players are expected to race, not spectate (which you can do from the stream); if you’re not racing, leave the lobby so others can race.
Once you’re in the lobby and racing be courteous and mute your mic.
Don’t beg for codes, but keep your eyes and ears open because sometimes DLC codes will be posted in the chat - first to redeem a code gets it. Have your browser open to the redeem page on Xbox.com in order to quickly copy & paste the code.
Don’t expect in-depth answers to all questions. The stream is a chance to have fun rather than make significant announcements. Use the forum Wish List threads for requests.
Considering that Forza is an E for Everyone game, chat is expected to follow a similar standard; vulgarity will be purged and may result in a ban from the channel.
