Hi, just wanted to make this post for those who like downloading paintjobs like I do.
When you select a car to buy or select a car you own in the design menu, the storefront first loads the Recommended and Most Popular designs. THAT is what’s disabled. However, that doesn’t mean the ENTIRE storefront is offline as the search feature still works. Just set the search parameters and you can still see the designs for the selected car…just one problem, the second part of this post’s title.
The Design Storefront is like the Wii and WiiU eShop; you can see the stuff but you can’t actually use it. No matter what design you select, you won’t be able to download it because the “FH2 servers encountered a problem, please try again later.”
TL;DR: The Design Storefront isn’t offline but you still can’t download paintjobs.
Turn 10, if you’re reading this post, I have one question. Why have you done this?
It’s much better now, but still glitchy. On storm island, when attempting to browse tunes, I can browse through maybe 4-5 before it freezes the storefront. It doesn’t completely crash the game as the music continues playing normally but I cannot do anything. I have to dashboard and quit the game, then reboot. This is getting very annoying, especially on Storm Island were most cars need to be tuned to Rally specs. Please continue to work on this Playground/Turn10/MS. Thanks!
Yea, the car that you hover over has to have either a Design or Tune equipped in order for you to be able to purchase it. So, just keep going to different meets and checking each car until you get one of each. Does not need to be at the same meet is my understanding.
On a separate note, the Storefront seems to be partially disabled again, I can only scroll through 2-3 cars before it freezes the game. The music continues to play in the background but I cannot navigate away from the (specifically) Tune marketplace or do anything else. I have left it there in order to see if it would eventually load for as long as 10 minutes with no luck. Each time it freezes I have to reboot the game from the dashboard. I have hard reset my Xbox with no improvement in the problem. This happened to me shortly after the servers were reinstated while I was playing Storm Island, but then improved for several weeks, and now is a problem again…
