Well the interior is different too
Not all but a lot of them were, stuff like the Jaguar D-Type and Ferrari 250LM were specifically built for racing and werenât road-legal.
With the lower class sports cars you could literally drive to the race track, race and then drive back home afterwards.
Itâs how brands like Porsche, Mini/Austin, Alfa Romeo and even Honda became very well known.
They produced some sporty road cars that tended to be lightweight and agile which made them perfect to buy for racing without needing to go and build your own car or pay someone like Ferrari to do it.
Lotus used to do it a lot alongside Formula 1 and ended up making stuff like the Lotus Elan themselves and also working for other companies like Ford with the Lotus Cortina.
Even in America this happened with stuff like the Mustangs, Thunderbirds, Hudson Hornet and the like where theyâd produced a more powerful road version to then take racing.
Generally there was no safety equipment back then and almost all cars didnât have seatbelts so the only thing you needed for racing was an engine that could fit into a category and you were good to go.

I remember the 2010 BMW M3 GTS got a little bit of interior changing in FH4, I donât know if it still does in FH5 though.
If you put Race Weight Reduction on the car then the passenger seat would disappear.
I would assume that the interior change carried over from FH4 to FH5

There are 2 passenger versions of the Citan there is the Citan Tourer and Citan Travelliner
As for the second gen Citan for the passenger versions there is again the Citan Tourer and the T Class a slightly more luxurious version of the Citan with leather seats and body coloured rear view mirrors

Why
Only 2 people have voted for the Mercedes models in each topic so itâs far from a priority.
Should they gain more popularity then we can look into it but at the moment thereâs not enough interest for a sub-model of a particular body style for a particular rebadge.

I doubt they will though since the S-Class and their SUVs already fulfill that role well enough.
Maybe a van update we havenât had any regular production vans in a while now but this would be one of them they should add if they ever do a van update
I wonder if Mercedes will build a passenger van version of the Sprinter that can be used as a personal vehicle
