TY Kathees. Absolutely correct it’s a stupid description. There is no “Portrait” preset. I too wouldn’t have known to look in guidelines as you have rightly suggested.
If you play a bit of open on RA you get quite a bit of S2’s in the dirt.
Can be fun on the more technical courses. Have run a tuned Lambo for a while on some of them as it’s a bit of an entertaining beast.
someone offered you a Porsche to stop you from drinking and driving - sensible of you to take them up on it!
Yeah! It worked out great. Especially the second race. Throttle control was definitely key, but I kinda felt bad at how much the car outclassed the 911FE. Get remotely close to a straight and the Sesto was a rocket compared to the Porsche. It was a neat/different experience, and my Gulf livery got to shine on top of the podium (though I doubt that will buy me any downloads).
Thanks for trying out the tunes!! You’re going to make me blush.
I just finished the D500 cult car championship. I did it co-op, as usual. I used @x_ShadowsBane_x 's Datsun tune. It was great on handling, and it allowed me to twice top an Abarth that seemed to be more of a power-build type. The Abarth had ALL the acceleration and top speed, but it seemed to slide around everywhere. Corners are where I “made my money” (or time, in this case). The second race was a circuit, and definitely favored the Datsun. The trail on the first race probably should have favored the power build, but it ended up wrecking repeatedly.
I used my Gulf livery on the Datsun, but it’s a little messed up. The lines are straight in the editor, but out in the game there’s weird angles. I’ll need to play with it and correct it before the next Datsun event.
Used the same one; excellent tune @x_ShadowsBane_x , thanks for sharing!
BSV: You may need to consider changing your GT to GulfSteelviper
I tried several times around the festival site & couldn’t get this to trigger. Finally went to the ‘32 Ford Coupe & managed to get it to trigger after hooning around the center strip. This tune made it easy to quickly rack up points for anyone interested.
Tune SC: S2 street- 403 536 695-“5.2L V8TT 240mph”
Design SC: 556 523 490- “Metal Web Mod”
today’s daily is to win a Midnight Battle; the EventLab thing I made didn’t work for me, had to do it “normally”
Thought it was pretty well known not to use eventlabs to help pop dailies as they often feck it up and you never collect.
Dailies are usually OK. It’s the treasure hunts that get messed up. I frequently use eventlabs on the daily “win a X” tasks.
I used the Ford 5 window since that what was in the picture. I’m pretty sure I used the A800 drift tune that I use for almost any unrestricted drift events. It saved me on that million point Cara Este thing, and it’s been my go to ever since.
If I had my choice, my GT would be just “Steelviper”. But that one was taken. The Gulf definitely is my signature livery, and my default if I don’t come up with anything else.
And apparently Midnight Battles aren’t street races, even though they show up under that filter on the map. Can’t combine it with last week’s or (assuming) this week’s street race dailies.
@BravoSteelviper, @Bravo437 Thanks for using the Datsun tune!! When I first made the tune, I tried sticking with the stock tires and it just felt awful to drive.
It had a lot more speed and acceleration, but it came with major understeer, so I decided to try out the vintage white wall tires.
It went from a power build to a handling build that felt nice to drive.
I’ll be using the vintage white wall tires more with these older cars in lower classes.
Lorks a Lordy - S2 Oddball.
Rally Adventure multiplayer generally has considerate drivers.
Pro’s:
Good to see more than 2 players in multiplayer races
Cons:
Absolute crash fest
Normally just laugh at rammers as you can normally escape but RA isn’t as forgiving as the Mainland.
Makes Motorsport multiplayer look sedate.
Yeah, it definitely reminded me of a @CashlessPlains8 style handling build, which I’m more accustomed to. Nice work!
while the consumable perks are largely broken, they aren’t completely broken, and these midnight things count as street races there, and they also count a street races when there’s a task to win a street race (when done as an eventlab)
Ford Coupe FE by the looks of it; that’s what I used for no real reason. It’d be extremely odd if that were a requirement, though.
The Porsche 356 SL coupe delivers as expected. Spent some time settling it into a nice A800 tune that performs really well imo. Went with a classic style race design with a two-tone paint. Share codes for both below for anyone who’d like to check them out. As always, thanks for the support & enjoy!
Tune SC: 303 885 159 - “Street Fighter”

I liked the circuit eventlab, although it highlights a problem I’ve always had, the checkpoints don’t load quick enough when they’re close together, so you end up making decisions that are immediately canceled out.
I passed someone with a great corner maneuver, felt so bad I let them go ahead of me again
