It seems I was using the entry from the screen of the playlist to enter the event. But I don’t know why is not linked to the correct event, though. Anyway, I’ve completed it now.

That Horizon Tour Event was a nonsense.
Every player in the event was in a HSV GEN-F GTS Maloo Limited Edition (2014) - including the AI and players.
Finished in 1st place in all 3 events by miles whilst the “team” were just interested in knocking each other off. Most were in the final places apart from one that managed a 3rd in a couple of them.
We somehow won the first race but lost the other two because the stragglers just kept staying in there dragging the team down for the wins.
Oh well, at least it was just a complete it and get it one, so all good in the end I suppose. 
It’s why I detest Horizon Tours. Why can’t people understand it’s a team event ?
I liked the trial. Was very doable in a R390 tuned.

Whilst the events were pretty easy - including the trial, there is definitely a bug or two in this series.
I’ve noticed that the AH doesn’t show my AH cars still in there on the main AH menu, they’re still there when I look at the list but the menu says nothing - even after a car has been sold. Only way I know is because of the messages.
Also when I did a H&S for the first time in weeks, during the Guanajuato event, the roads were all just… roads. There was no definition of the tunnels on the map that you would normally see.
Not a deal breaker but just a couple of a few things I’ve noticed in S46 that aren’t working the way they normally would.
Perhaps part of the reason why some are struggling with some of the completions that don’t appear for others ?
S46 has a few bugs running around for sure.
Not sure why every series release can’t be a clean one.
Pretty sure it’s because they run them in their own in-house servers and don’t test them in real play with other accounts on other servers and given that it’s random whether it works for some and not others, they need to run the game outside their bubble on multiple accounts and servers to see what the actual players are experiencing.
I really liked the trial. Some of the driving, not so much … Ive seen some extra dirty driving in the now dozens of times Ive done it. I wasnt around the first time this series was up and noticed that I havent messed with a lot of this splendid roster of cars. Some I knew I was avoiding because they are meta monsters, but others I just hadnt got around to yet … after years. Im still going to stay away from the meta cars in rivals but Im working on all of them for the trial.
My favorite is the McLaren F1. One of my top 5 all time favorite cars. The seating position and visibility in first person is just perfection. Its not quite meta but was pleasantly surprised to see the G numbers when building it are underrating it. Handles better than the game says, and its top end even with full aero is a lot.
Nissan R390 also great. Saleen S7 another good choice. The Schuppan is great AWD or RWD. Ferrari Enzo can be a winner. Ferrari F50 … the Horizon 2 meta … a lot closer to the Enzo than I thought. Jaguar XJ220 handles better than advertised, shined at Volcan … and while the difference between slicks and race tires is close on a lot of cars, race tire builds seemed a lot better than slicks for the XJ220.
The Lotus GT1 is a meta choice and opposition was as amoebas against it, in either AWD or RWD. Id probably knock seconds off any of my S1 rivals times in it. Volcan might as well have been straight.
Still have a bunch to get to but Im enjoying it … havent tired of it yet.

Do-able.. with a good team as long as you didn’t have to negotiate The ‘dreaded’ Goliath in round 3.
Apparently im not allowed to be critical of HW seasonal. 2 posts have been moderated for who knows what

People rarely understand team events in Forza, but it’s nice when they do. Tours are usually the easiest to complete because the AI are worse than in Championships or The Tour.
I can’t blame new PS players for struggling because even after 3 plus years on sale, people still select non upgraded cars even though they might be prestige level 2 or 3.
My biggest complaint in co-op is the person who slams into everyone at the first 90 degree turn. Slightly ahead of the ‘drifter’ who lays smoke everywhere and makes it impossible to overtake by sliding round every corner. If one or other of those types knocks me to the back, I don’t quit but hang on grimly to last place.

What the game needs is a “clean cornering skill” in road and street racing which is worth, say, twice what a drift skill is worth.
I’ve found that players who think corners and curves are drift zones often hand me places by sliding too deep into the corners.
Also, if you play in cockpit view, the slidey players absolutely obscure the view, which can be very annoying.

I agree that most don’t get the team aspect of the game but in Tours it’s worse than most events.
It’s usually just crammed with rammers that want that first place at all costs - even to the detriment of the team win.
The new PS players should still know that from their other PS games.
As stated in the previous post, ALL players and ALL AI were in a fully tuned car (same car for all) but still the team were hell-bent on getting the win over the team victory.
After missing a checkpoint in the 1st place and heading back to 12th I still made 3rd so at least in the 2nd & 3rd they just let me through to win the event with two 1st place finishes by miles even though the stragglers lost us the second.
Just saying it’s about time people started to think about the team aspect over their own egos.
