Festival Playlist events and rewards May 2-9 (Autumn S33)

AWD conversions? What has science done?!

For the Trial, I can offer a design for the ‘21 Porsche 911 GT3. For the weekly Forzathon, I also have the Multimatic design that I did originally in ‘22, which is actually still my #1 downloaded design to date.
SCs below for anyone interested & thanks for checking them out.

‘21 Porsche 911 GT3
Design SC: 793 781 210 - “Blackout V2”

‘17 Ford GT
Design SC: 129 552 468 - “Multimatic MS”

What is the “ Give It Chage Skill” ?

“Give it Charge” triggers if you run into the solar panels. I see it a lot at the solar farm just south of the orchard just off the main highway.

2nd trial race is Lookout Circuit
3rd trial race is Estadio Circuit

Awful, saved by the glitch.

Game gave us the win after this, not much else to say apart from thankfully the stock GT2 RS user could competently drive, used Dannny’s tune for the 718.

Wasn’t going to share this but my Goliath race ended up with something that’s likely going to be very rare…

Wish I’d had them in the Trial with me, their time alone would likely DNF most people this week so clearly a very good player, ignore the few seconds at the start that contribute to that total time and their actual lap was likely under 14 minutes, an extremely respectable time for the P4 even in Rivals let alone in a race, unless you get someone like that in your team you should be DNF’ing everyone if you’re any good, you only have to be around 1 second per mile quicker to get it over such a long distance.

I used Zip’s ‘TGM V2’ tune for the GT40, superb tune as it always is when he makes something, highly recommend anyone who hasn’t done the event yet to go with this.

Oh and the MK1 GT40 is eligible but…no, just…no don’t bother, put Pleb’s tune on it and use it for A Dirt instead.

I’m confused. Won the trial on third try. We won the first. We were winning on the second… until toward the very end we weren’t. I got distracted, so I don’t know if maybe stragglers dropped and made the difference or if it glitched… but I’ll take it either way. Challenging trial this week, and having a good team (and having people get out in front and block the drivatars) is pretty crucial.

I used @x_ShadowsBane_x 's tune for the 2022 Cayman.

Do you think an average time of 1:03 or 1:02 is good enough per lap to take over the drivatars in this one bravo? I got a 2019 I tuned…otherwise I might just go with the danny’s tune. I noticed the AI was kind of rowdy again today. I ran the goliath twice right now with two convoys. First time…we barely won lol. Second race I used the ford mk2…and got 13:56 with my tune. The ferrari kind of left it open in a group setting for the AI to run 800 class racers. I guess we all should of just went in tuned and not upgraded lol.

Not one of my better performances in the Trial but the game was kind enough to give us the win even though we lost on Lookout circuit.

I didn’t have a good finishing time on the Goliath in comparison to @TheGillesMuller and everyone else here but it was good enough to get the job done.

The Trial was ok. Did it first try with the new Cayman GT4 with only two races. At first I thought we won’t make it because we had one absolutely incapable and a few at best avarage players but an other good one and me still managed to get first and second to get enough points.

The EventLabs were quite enjoyable this time.
The creator of the first one definitely knows how to do and arrange corners. The track was smooth. The only “bad” thing is that it’s completely flat. Which seems to be the case for many of the EV Island creations. A little elevation here and there would surely make such tracks even more interesting.
The second has a nice city circuit flair. You really have to learn and memorise the corners but if you got that it’s actually quite good.
The third one was also good.

I also enjoyed doing the Goliath with my F330 and the other two CCs were also on the better side when it comes to car/class and track selection.

The Speed Traps and Zone were ok. The first one was a bit difficult but not because the speed is unachievable. The problem at least in my case was that the AI traffic had a tendency to spawn right in the corner when you enter the city which made it difficult to keep up the needed speed. This was even exaggerated by AI cars that other players had rammed standing in the way.

Overall a quite nice and enjoyable playlist IMO.

@x_ShadowsBane_x: I’ve finished the Goliath with 14:54 something but I also wasn’t in a hurry. Just for your reassurance. :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

HokiHoshi made a Youtube video showing how he made the first eventlab track. It’s based on the real world Ginger Man raceway.

I don’t know that track but maybe it doesn’t have any elevation changes since it’s basically located in a field.

Thanks for the info. I wasn’t aware of this but it also wasn’t really aimed specifically at this track. It’s more of a general observation. IIRC there’s also a request in the Hub that’s asking for a way to make elevation changes on the island easier.

I thought this was literally part of the last update?

Gotta go back in for a second trial lol. I had some weird stuff going on…we had firsts through 4th…going into the last lap on plaza…somehow I went from 1st to 3rd and my team mates from 4 to 6…with no one passing us. We were on mic from discord…talk about dudes losing it lol. Going back in for a second try…hopefully the magical AI chill this time. I am not feeling well…not up for the forza AI revolting today.

First try on the Goliath a teammate DNF’d the field with a sub 14min run - my only consolation was I was 2nd

Fared better 2nd time around…

Long race for a bang average driver, design felt appropriate

IIRC it was a request to be able to raise the terrain in general. Presumably before you even start to build a track. I don’t know how placing works in the editor as I haven’t used it at all but would imagine that there’s something like a “snap to surface” option or something like that. This could make it easier as you wouldn’t have to touch the respective track parts manually to create an elevation change. But that’s just a guess as I don’t really know how it works.

MD! Great to see you around man & lovin’ the classic! Haven’t seen that one in a while.

I had something like that happening in a Tour not long ago. See the last part in the following post.

My suspicion is that it’s possible to fiddle with the results via a mod menu or so. Did you maybe had a “fishy” player in the team that could have done this?

It could of course also be a bug but I never had something like this happen before the last update. If it really is just a bug then it must have been introduced recently.

Sidenote: Thunder :metal:

Forgot to screen shot the second race…and that is okay. I won…and by a ridiculous amount but we obviously lost…so had to go to a third race. I wouldn’t really recommend that tune by the danny for these courses. It slides all over and you have to nudge it gently…it won…but getting the job done shouldn’t have to be that much work. I had a team mate by the way doing circles lol. That guy you see in last. Made me wish the microphones were on so I could yell at them to race.
